Frost and Pebble stood in a clearing as their mother, Swan, had broken down into tears, begging them to come back with her, saying she was so sorry. Thyme burst through the bushes next to the two kits. Swan's head shot up and she backed up, anger and sadness mixing together. "Don't!" Pebble suddenly hissed at Thyme. Frost shrugged. "She isn't hurting us. She isn't even trying to kidnap us. All she did was go to the den, ask us to follow her to the nearby clearing, and then this happened." He flicked his tail at the crying she-cat.

* She didn't listen to Pebble or Frost and she quickly barreled into Swan. She didn't attack though. She laid down and pulled her old friend to her. She whispered in her ear. *
" Do you really wish to have them back? "
* The question hurt her, but her friend was just that. A friend who wanted her kits back. *

Swan didn't struggle when Thyme barreled into her, knocking her down. She didn't get up. Thyme whispered in her ear if she wanted her kits back. "They choose," the she-cat managed to choke out, pointing to Pebble and Frost.

* She looked at Swan and then at Pebble and Frost. *
" I don't think Talon will come back with you. Pebble, Frost? If you two leave you will not see your sister again unless you come back on your own accord. "

She hummed and rocked Talon slightly. She pulled Talon to her belly and laid her tail on Talon. She laid her head down and closed her eyes. *
