Silverstar led the way through the forest,until the smell of burnt wood and ash filled the air,Silverstar gasped in amazement she stood at the edge of destruction,but you could hardly tell,ferns were unfurling,leaf buds were already on all the bushes,patches of grass were popping over the ashy ground,and there were bright green leave fluttering on the breeze,it was bringing spring,new life,and fresh air cleaning out the smell of the smoke and burnt plants.Silverstar beckoned with her tail for Maple whisker to follow her through the forest,the farther they went the more green the forest became.Silverstar trad carefully avoiding the black bare patches of ground,but then finally they reached the camp.

(I think Maplewhisker will be taken, because if Nightfang wants to get revenge on Silverstar, then taking someone she cares deeply about will hurt her more than wounding her)

Maplewhisker looked around the camp. The dens had been burned away, but new grass was breaking through the scorched grass. Maplewhisker looked around camp, trembling. This was where she grew up with her brothers, where she became a warrior... she hated to see her home like this.

Bravewind crept up behind her friend and sprang,"got you",she yowled playfully,"whatcha mumbling about?",Bravewind asked tail swaying.

"Gahh! What the heck Bravewind?"she finally got free and groomed herself "i was just wondering where the leader is? I never get to see her!"

Silverstar looked at her deputy,and gently laid her tail over her shoulders,"its ok,we can leave if you want,it was worse than this when I first came back",she mewed softly,In a stronger voice she said,"I think it is good enough for our clan to come back,it is no longer safe at the island,the camp we are using is hard to defend,this one will be easier".

As they reached the border where the fire struck,the smell of ash and smoke was almost unbearable,but under that Silverstar could still smell green growing things,she led the patrol onto the charred ground,which crunched underpaw.All around the trees hung like former ghosts of themselves the barck was black,and there was not a leaf in site,Silverstar could still see all the cats that once lived there like haunting memories.Suddenly a huge black shadow burst out of a black bush,Silverstar yowled in surprise it echoed eerily in the silent forest,she then sighed with relief as the black shadow perched on a branch overhead,it was only a crow."be careful everyone,we aren't staying here that long".Silverstar warned and she crept carefully through their old home.Silverstar sighed and called the patrol,"lets go there's nothing here,we will check in a few moons,no time for hunting,you two could hunt if you like but the clan still has prey".Ans with that Silverstar led the way back to camp,it was already sunhigh by the time they got to the undestroyed part of the forest.

Snow assured her "its ok they just takeit more seriously more then others do! But sure!" She said trying to sniff the inside of the leaders den, then sniffing the air
