In the morning, he woke up and stretched. Time to train Shade, he thought. He walked down to the apprentice's den and prodded the black she-cat awake.
"We're going hunting," he meowed.

Shade let out a small groan of annoyance. "Five more minutes..." She said lazily and sleepily. She still wasn't used to waking up so early, so she tossed and turned when he poked her, and soon relaxed back into slumber.

"If you're going to be a warrior, you have to get up," he said. Annoyance was starting to creep into his voice, but he remembered his brother telling him to give her and Foxpatch a chance. He quietly sighed to stay calm.

(Btw I might not want Shade to kill him, he's going to eventually learn to accept rogues. He still may die later on but I want to rp him for a while)

Shade let out a quiet sigh as he left the den, saying quietly to herself, "I hope I haven't made him too mad...I don't want my first friend becoming my enemy." She soon thought about some things for a few minutes, and then padded out of the den and over to where Russetheart was, being silent.

"You're up," Russetheart said. "Today we're just going on a hunting patrol. Bring what you catch back to the fresh kill pile when you're done. I'll be nearby hunting too if you need me." He turned to the forest and began to trot off to hunt.

Shade gave a nod as he went into the forest. She waited about ten seconds before going into the forest and sniffed the air. She had the scent of a few squirrels and a vole and decided to go for the vole first. She lowered herself down as she neared the animal, and waited, keeping her tail still as she got into a hunting crouch. When the time was right, she leaped into the air and landed on the vole, giving it a quick killing bite, using her tail to hold onto the kill as she kept on hunting.
