But it was too bad for them... because the tom was someone who was going to get things done. Except for right now, when he was too tired to exactly 'do things.' Yes, the feline definitely had a lazy streak in him. At the moment he was flopped out ungracefully, watching the world go by through bright and almost intelligent eyes. Except, he wasn't really... intelligent, in a manner of speaking. He was more or less a foolish cat. But hey, at least there was still that streak of adventure in him, right? His eyes scanned the clearing, looking around for a cat who was either as interested in going on an adventure as he was or as tired as he was. He would take either kind of cat, really, because at the moment? Marshpaw wasn't interested in getting up to look for anyone else. A yawn escaped him, ivory fangs glinting before he quickly closed it and glanced around to see if anyone else had noticed. It wasn't like he was known for sitting around doing nothing, so this? This shouldn't hurt his reputation as a reckless fireball at all. Even though he didn't feel like a reckless fireball at the moment, that was what Marshpaw was known for... that and his flirty personality.

@Random Melchester
Mintkit squeezed out of the nursery, sticking close to the den walls. Her first reaction was to search for her father; Luckily, Stormstrike was nowhere to be found. And Snowstar was out on patrol. Good. Mintkit thought, satisfied. Honeyfur was inside watching her siblings. Mintkit had no idea how she'd managed to slip past her aunt, but she had. The blue-point Siamese's ice blue eyes trailed around for her other aunts and uncles, relieved when she didnt see them. Foxthorn would probably let it slide, but Blackstorm, Goldensky and Roarclaw would probably escort her back to the nursery immediately. The two-moon old kit closed her eyes, breathing in softly. Mintkit stretched her front paws out in front of her and fluffed her fur up slightly, lifting her tail and kinking it over her back lightly. With her gray ears pricked and her eyes focused on anything and everything, she took a few steps forward. She'd been out into the clearing before, but never alone. She wasnt sure whether to be frightened or excited. The she-kit was usually one to observe. The only she-cat of her siblings, she heavily preferred to stick to the sidelines. Not because they played to wild for her, but just because... She didnt play. She didnt like to. She watched, she listened, she observed. But not now. Now, Mintkit was excited to be out in the clearing. Excited to see everything for herself. Without cats constantly telling her to stay within sight of the nursery.

Not anymore. Mintkit smiled victoriously to herself, taking in the victory. She shook her fur out and fluffed it up again before trotting forward, gazing around. It was a nice day. She heard a faint rumbling in the distance, and couldnt help wonder what it was. But decided it wasnt important. Gazing around, she flicked an ear as a young Tom caught her eye. Marshpaw. Not that she knew him; Mintkit hardly knew anyone aside from her siblings. But maybe this was her time to make some older friends? After a few moments, she made a decision, and with long, confident strides, she made her way over to the Tom. As long as he wasnt loud and obnoxious, it'd be good with her. "Hello," Mintkit mewed, stopping in front of him. She had to tip her head back to gaze up at him through clear ice blue eyes. "I'm Mintkit."

"I'm sure your kits will be the same," he chuckled lightly. Still, a question tugged at the back of the tom's mind. "If you don't mind me asking," he started out, his amber eyes sincere, "Where did you come from? I mean... before ThunderClan." From what he had gathered, she wasn't from another Clan, or anything resembling a Clan, but was probably a rogue or loner. After that bit about trees, he had assumed she probably wasn't a kittypet - anyone who loves to climb trees wouldn't be content shut up in a Twoleg den, certainly?
(Sorry for late reply, was at school)
Stormstripe chuckled slightly."I'm sure they will," she purred, getting excited at the thought that one day, she could go hunting with her kits. When they were old enough, of course. Until then, she would watch them like a hawk! Stormstripe cocked her head slightly at the question. "I don't mind you asking,"she replied. "I used to be a loner, but I lived with my mate, and my parents we're living not too far away, so I would go and visit them once in a while. My siblings, however, traveled a lot, so I didn't get to see them much. My parents were quite sad when they said that they wanted to travel and not stay with them, but soon accepted it. She didn't want her problems to be someone else's problems and her shrug signified she'd think about it. However, the black and white she-cat already had her mind set about the answer. She wouldn't do it. It didn't matter how much he may press her about it, it was simply something she wouldn't do. At least not for a while.

Her ears pricked back up at his comment and her whiskers twitched a bit. "Oh yes, yes I forget how old my fluff-butt is getting with his aches and pains. Say do I need to make a trip to Wheatfur's den to get you some herbs?" she spoke, her voice wasn't so quiet now, just mischievous. As Ottertail flopped down, she only nodded her head as if it were confirmation. "Oh, it appears your old joints got the better of you again, I should probably go make that trip then," she couldn't hide the purr in the back of her throat as she teased her friend. Her tail tip was flicking with the ideas of smart remarks and puns she could possibly make right now. Of course, the majority were kept to herself.
Her shrug was enough for the tom, even though he wasn't sure if she would do it or not. It wasn't fair for her to have to deal with that crud on her own, but... he couldn't make Mintberry do something she didn't want to. Better to leave it be and just hope rather then waiting for something that wasn't going to happen. "What did I say about calling me fluff-butt? His voice was on the verge of sternly playful, the only thing missing was an actually serious expression on his features. When playing, it was difficult for Ottertail to maintain an expression like that - as said before. He was always playing, and having a good time seemed to be one of the only things on his mind. [/B]"But my aches and pains and I would appreciate it very much,"[/B] The tom continued, flashing a mischievious smile at her and rolling over onto his side. That mischievious expression was still strong in his eyes, but almost not as apparent as he glanced up at the sky again. The day would probably go pretty uneventfully... it seemed the weather was good so there should be a lot of prey, was it not for those stupid Twolegs. Sometimes he wished they were more aware of the Clans, more aware of the world around them and could realize what they were doing. Even though it might destroy some sort of a balance, Ottertail would be quite grateful for the change from the bumbling creatures they were in his eyes.

And there was something else about him that made gave her that spark of curiosity. He seemed…. cautious. Was that the right word? Well, the ginger tabby had little time to ponder over it as she was quickly given a better response. “It’s nice to meet you too,” Honeyvenom said politely, giving him a warm smile. The name Leafsparks seemed unfamiliar to her. If she hadn’t noticed him around camp before this, then she certainly didn’t know his name. He was a peculiar cat. There was something strange about him that the warrior couldn’t quite place her paw on. She wanted to ask him if anything was wrong, if anything was bothering him. But she had been brought up to be polite and so she knew better than to pry into the business of others.

Honeyvenom watched silently as the tom’s expression eventually changed from tense to cheerful. It appeared as though he had just managed to get a weight off his shoulders. The warrior couldn’t help but feel slightly overwhelmed with the sudden stream of words. Perhaps it was his sudden change in mood that surprised her. The tabby had seen cats change emotions very quickly before, but there was just something a little more different about his particular tom. “I’m doing well. What about you?” She asked, staying calm and polite despite his cheerfulness. Every now and again, her whiskers would twitch in amusement. “Oh yes, this Green-Leaf has been nice. I can only hope that Leaf-Fall and Leaf-Bare won’t be too harsh on us,” Honeyvenom remarked, glancing up at the sky for a short moment before returning her gaze to its original place. “The weather certainly has been playing up,” She murmured. Not long ago, it had been raining. Now, it had stopped, but for how long? The warrior could also feel the temperatures dropping. She had felt a cold chill earlier in the morning breeze.

“So, what’s with the sudden cheeriness?” She dared to ask. Honeyvenom tilted her head to the side, to make her seem curious, rather than nosy. She wouldn’t care too much if the tom chose not to respond, but she wanted to hear something. The ginger tabby might not show it, but she liked knowing things where she could. She never refused an opportunity to learn something new, whether it be a fact, or just gossip. “It seemed like something was bothering you earlier,” Honeyvenom continued, trying to subtly press him further into telling her something. Maybe she would be able to help him if he had a problem. She was good at that kind of stuff. That is, if he was willing to accept help. Not everyone was willing to spill all their problems and ask for a bit of comfort. There were times where Honeyvenom herself wasn’t willing to talk to anyone in times of despair. It was what she called her ‘shutdown mode’.

Briarwish cared little as to whether the tom wanted to tag along or not. She had nothing to do for the rest of the afternoon so she might as well find a cat to drag around. Before she could ask what he might want to do, she had to deal with her rude apprentice. With her teeth bared, she stalked closer to the young tom. Suddenly, he slipped passed both her and her new acquaintance. Briarwish considered going after him, but quickly thought against it. She had better things to do than chase after misbehaving apprentices all day. “Go clean the old bedding out of the elder’s den!” She called to Bearpaw. “And we’re not doing any more training until you finish that,” She said, making sure her voice was loud enough for him to hear. Hopefully spending a bit of time around the elders would teach him to not be so rude.
Huffing, she closed her eyes, as though completely forgetting about Nettleclaw. “Glad that’s over,” She murmured to herself, before opening her eyes and looking at the tom.
The warm smile she gave him made the feline smile back. After the stress of worrying about Minnowstripe for what seemed like ages, this was a lot like a warm, but not too hot day... just pleasant. It had been a while since the tom had even dared to so much as look at another she cat, let alone talk to one, but Honeyvenom seemed so sweet. "Yeah... I'm a little worried, though, with the construction going on and everything. I wish the twolegs would stay away from our territory, but..." His voice trailed off and he gave a shrug as though to say 'what do you do?' It wasn't like Leafsparks was exactly socially awkward, but having not spoken to another she cat in a while definitely gave his conversational skills with Honeyvenom something to be desired. Conversations with Minnowstripe had always been easy - just find something to ramble about, let her make her comments, and agree with things that she said, or talk to her as though she were a fragile doll. Compliments and such.

It didn't seem quite appropriate in this situation, however, and the tom knew better then to start on something like that. Her question startled him, not to mention sent his mind reeling for a quick and effortless answer. "Uhh..." Smooth as silk, Leafsparks. Yep, he was one of a kind alright. Right now he was sort of wishing he had never broken up with the familiar she cat, maybe she could have given him lessons or something. Except she was way different then this one. And so Leafsparks wasn't quite sure what to do. Now was generally a time when he would throw in a compliment or something, but again, he knew better then to try doing that with Honeyvenom. She just didn't seem like the type you should try and rush things on. And it was so much more different then what he was used to that honestly, Leafsparks didn't even know what to do. Should he... just answer her?

"Just a situation I had earlier today that I realized is cleared up now. Kind of a late realization, but..." Again, he shrugged and thought if that was accurate. Yeah, it sounded about right. He had also sort of been in shock like he couldn't believe he had just done that. That had been one of the dumbest things he had ever done, and also the smartest. Probably one of the bravest as well, Leafsparks wasn't exactly cowardly but he was no hero. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. I was sort of lost in thought." The tom responded, wondering if that was accurate as well. Yep. Definitely a little lost in thought. He was still thinking about how things were going to go in the future, and if he was going to be alright... chances were, not really. Minnowstripe had cast some pretty lasting scars on his mental health, and he might be paranoid - but then again, freedom always came at a price. Everything did. And while he wasn't quite sure about this price, it was a nice to be free once more all the the same. No matter what the price might be.

"Uh...Hi...My name is...Nettlepaw." she replied awkwardly after a while of hesitation. You finally get somebody to talk to you and you stutter like that. What are you a kit. While she thought she felt her pelt grow hot with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry. I'm not usually like this. I normally don't talk to warriors besides my sister and my mentor." Nettlepaw apologized. That's better. Don't be nervous he's your clanmate. Even though you just met him doesn't mean you need to be as awkward as this.
The warrior shook his head as he heard the apprentice's words.
"Don't worry, neither I usually go around talking to random apprentices."
A purr escaped from his throat as he spoke. He was aware that going to talk to the so called Nettlepaw hadn't been a good idea to socialize. However, he didn't regret it at all. Liongaze lowered himself to the ground, lying on the soft terrain of the clearing, his tail curled around his body. Maybe this way he'd seem less scary or something. He was as confused as the apprentice was, if Nettlepaw was confused. He couldn't tell.
"Nice name, anyway."
He added shortly, giving a slight flick of his tail tip.

A kit approaching him brought Marshpaw's attention from boredom onto that cat. He thought he recognized her... although he was certain he would have seen the feline roaming around. "Well hi there," The tom mewed with a friendly grin. Right now he was too tired to really play with the kit, or even greet her in a friendlier manner, but she wasn't exactly like the other kits he always saw running around the clearing. She had an air of calmness, of almost command to her. And it somewhat scared Marshpaw. He wasn't sure if she was going to give him orders or not, but she looked like the type to do something of the sort. Not exactly the playful cat he was used to. Now, had she been an apprentice, this would have been the perfect moment for the young apprentice to start flirting.

From the looks of things, he was about six moons older then her... so it wasn't a bad age difference, he had seen cats together who were much further apart then that. And besides, the feline sincerely doubted they would end up together. It wasn't so much that he had committment issues, it was more that he was trying to keep an intimate relationship at a distance. He would get into trouble here and there, perhaps stay with a she cat for a little while, but he had never been too sure about having a truly intimate relationship with another cat. "I'm Marshpaw. King of flirting. Star of the apprentice den. Creator of mischief, leader of adventures... You might've heard of me," The feline mewed in a deceptively modest tone. Nope, Marshpaw liked to brag about himself. He was obnoxious at times.

But, it was always in humor, and he always did try his best to make other cats laugh. "So Mintkit, where are your parents and what are you doing out here alone? Most kits come out with their families, y'know, like... as a group?" His mew was puzzled as he watched the younger cat. Had she snuck away? If so, maybe he needed to be taking tips from her. Most new Mothers were overprotective of their kits. And still, Marshpaw felt as though he had seen the younger cat before... she looked so familiar... but he wasn't really the type to put those kinds of pieces together. Man, he needed a friend to be the brains behind his genius escape plans. That was, to tell him when they were stupid, when they were good, and to fix the flaws in them.

Mintkit knew as soon as he greeted her that this may be a problem. The she-kit allowed her tail to whisk over the ground, studying him through narrowed ice blue eyes. As he continued on, Marshpaw, King of flirting, star of the apprentice den, creator of mischief... Mintkit wanted to laugh, but she found no humor in the words. This Tom was exactly the opposite of the cats she'd been hoping to run into. She wanted someone quiet and polite. So why was she still standing here? Well, Mintkit was a polite little kitten. Snowstar always told her to be nice to everyone. And if she didnt have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all. Mintkit kept silent. Not because she didnt have anything nice to say; No, she could say something nice. Im sure he's a great mischief maker. And im sure he gets many she-cats on his tail as well, She decided as she looked him over.

His question had a smile tugging at her lips, sitting back to gaze up at him. The kit lowered her head to give her paw a quick lick, bringing it up to run down her muzzle as she spoke. "My father doesnt seem to be here." Mintkit announced, gaze roaming the clearing. "And my mother is out on patrol. Snowstar is a very busy cat." She whisked her tail slightly as her gaze came back up to Marshpaw. She held no pride in being the leader's daughter. No, Mintkit wasnt one for titles. She was Mintkit, Kit of ThunderClan. Soon she would be an apprentice, then a warrior. Being Snowstar's daughter didnt earn her any privileges; Mintkit would make sure of this. "My siblings are still inside. Honeyfur is watching them." Mintkit informed Marshpaw. "I wanted to come see what I could find out here without them constantly on my tail." Mintkit brought her gaze back to his face. "Well, looks like I found you. So, Marshpaw," She paused to ensure she'd gotten his name right before continuing; "You dont seem very busy for an apprentice. Where's your mentor?" Mintkit was almost startled by how calm she sounded to her own ears. I've really got to stop hanging around Honeyfur and Roarclaw. She thought, keeping her eyes trained on Marshpaw. Of course she meant no harm to her words; She was simply curious. It wasnt like whatever this Tom was doing was affecting her or anything. And it wasnt like it was any of her business that he didnt seem to be working. Maybe he had the day off, after all; Mintkit didnt really know, that's why she was asking.

"Oh. That sounds like a nice life," he admitted. Everything within reach, yet she had still had full free will. Parents, and a mate and kits. But that led to another question - why had she left it all? What had happened to her mate? But that was certainly a question that Risingmoon wasn't going to press. He dropped it and nodded at the she-cat, understanding how much she had gone through. Quietly he took a second to process her question. "I am Clanborn, but I ran away when I was an apprentice," he explained, swallowing hard.. He had never really told anyone this before - most cats who knew him knew about his story, anyways. "I came back though, after I began to miss my friends. I had no family though - they all disowned me when they deemed I was not good enough to become a warrior. Because of my, um," he paused for a moment. "ADD. I get distracted. A lot."

Stormstripe nodded in agreement. "It was. It was nice to be able to see my parents every now and again, too." she meowed. She listened quietly to him as he answered her question. "I see. It's fine if you get distracted though, it doesn't really make a difference to me. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is ADD?" she asked, curious. She had only a faint idea of what it was, but wasn't too sure.

@MaskedBandits (Sorry it took so long, crashed repeatedly)

The apprentice let out a growl once more as Lightpaw approached. Wisppaw wanted someone worthy like the deputy or a well-respected warrior to have the piece of prey as their meal. She felt confident for being able to catch the sparrow when the two-legs scared them all away. "I wasn't going to eat it, you lazy furball." She hissed. The molly scooted it away from her. "Besides, it's just prey. No need to get all worked up with yourself." Wisppaw raised her head ever-so higher; yet she completely contradicted her previous actions.

Just to warn y’all, my immune system is trash so please check my profile to see if I have said anything about being sick ^ ^ So I don't get too overwhelmed (again), I'm only gonna have cats in Riverclan or as outsiders, so please keep that in mind if you want to rp with me for whatever reason (:
