[Fawn]

Fawnsqueak hesitated, motionless. He reviewed the names that were called, the inflection of Lionstar's voice, the subtleties in the vague explanation. It was a self-defense mechanism deployed in hopes of avoiding a conflicting situation that lacked an escape but had plenty of moral conundrums, and possibly a body count. Rising to his paws, he drifted through the clearing on autopilot with his mind still racing, mulling over what it could be. Until he realized, WindClan.

A new hurriedness in each step, he quickened his pace to join the others and peered at them with bright eyes, lingering on Sootflare as he gave a little smile. He was still grateful. To Lionstar, Fawnsqueak tipped his chin upward and toward the camp exit in an invitation now that he'd arrived to complete their mission party.

Willowrose watched as she got into a hunters crouch. Th molly shook her head. "If you wiggle like that you'll scare of the prey. Here copy me.", she meowed. The molly waited for her to respond before getting into a crouch. Willowrose made sure to keep her body from touching the ground and her tail from going to high. She looked at the kit.

Otterleg sat at the edge of the clearing, watching what was happening. She lounged on the edge of the clearing, cleaning dirt and debris from her pelt, dragging her rough tongue over her pelt.

Her golden eyes danced across the clearing, watching apprentices and kits dart around the clearing, other warriors going about their business, elders basking in the weak winter sun. Lovers and friends alike lounged around the clearing inbetween their duties, sharing tongues with each other.

Her mind danced to thoughts of her apprentice. She should take Darkpaw out to train soon, it might be good to do a cold water swimming lesson, but that might be a little harsh for their first training session.

Otterleg absentmindedly continued cleaning herself as she thought about the things she had to do yet in the day.

Willowrose nodded. "When your stalking prey you want to make sure to keep low, but not too low to where your belly fur brushes against the ground. You also need to make sure your tail is at the right height, so they can't see it and can't hear it brush against the ground. Keep your tail still.", she meowed.

The kinkalow blinked, then shook his head. "Didn't say that. Didn't mean that. I just really don't have the time to go romping around the woods looking for plants that look like every other weed in this territory." He stepped back, muzzle twitching. A hot flash of anger rose in his chest, but he stamped it down quickly. "That doesn't sound worse," he said flatly. "I meant a cat who had gotten struck in the eye, or who had twisted an ankle or possibly broken a leg. Or, possibly, been almost drowned, or those who have been wounded so gravely they might not make it through the night." Stars, this cat ticked him off. Goosepaw just wanted to be done with this visit. "What's marigold look like, so I can find some on my own?"

Willowrose smiled as the kit got it right. "Very good. Now show me how you stalk.", she meowed. This was the next step to hunting and it was something that needed practice a lot to not scare away anything. The molly stood up and waited for her.

Darkpaw noticed her mentor at the edge of the camp, and pricked her ears. She was somewhat bored, and couldn't think of anything to do, so she decided to walk over, hoping Otterleg might teach her something.
