Heading back with koipaw The tabby took a seat near the middle of the clearing . " wanna head back to the territory and chat or stay here?" she asked

"Hey," She mewed quietly "maybe he's not into she-cats."
She wasn't straight herself, so she wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't either.
"I know Lionstar isn't, so maybe it's the same thing with Sootflare." She mewed matter of factly and quietly all at the same time.
"As for the fish, I like trout, salmon, and minnows, so I always have variety. I also have sunfish, which is good for a treat!" She meowed a bit louder about the fish, after all, it was her favorite!

Wait ....his eyes widened only for him to smile "cool" he whispered meowed . " to me lionstar was always the tough one...ya know all lion like...so I never really thought of that possibility . So like I said both of those are cool . " he quietly meowed . " to be honest I don't know where I lie yet so....I'm up for both " he said with a small sigh in the beginning . wait a minute ...what's sunfish?? "I never heard of sunfish before ...sounds like a warrior ...." he commented .

"Yeah, it can be hard to tell sometimes, but Lionstar here gives off a lot of gay energy. Why do you think he made Fawnsqeak deputy at one point?" She mewed quietly. Then she heard him say he never tried sunfish.
"You've never... tried sunfish.
OHMYGOSHYOUDON'TKNOWWHATMISSINGOUTON!" She yowled incredibly fast. She then realized her entire clan could hear her at this point, so she calmed down as much as she could, and went to explain it.
"Ok, so a sunfish is sort of small most of the time, and are more common in the river. They are silvery-gold-brown, and they taste pretty good over all." She paused a moment, taking a breather.
"Sorry for the mini outburst, I love my fish snacks." She meowed with an awkward smile.

He gave a small giggle at the first part although was a bit confused at the mention of fawnsqueak he was deputy for a point in time? Never noticed at all.... . But what he didn't expect was her outburst . This caused Sootpaw to lower his head with his ears folded . Ears ringing for a bit he managed to catch her description of the fish. "ah, it's ok...." he meowed with a shake of his head. " I guess we will have to hunt them when new leaf comes around just....not now...y-ya know?..don't want to freeze to death .." he said and lowered his head even more " or drown and freeze to death .."

A long sigh escaped from the mollys maw. "I didn't do so hot. Barely caught anything and it was weird because I had to hunt in Windclan territory." He tilted his head, brows coming together anxiously. "In WindClan territory?" he asked. "Well, of course you didn't do as well as your mentor probably expected you to. You were trying to hunt somewhere you didn't know. As far as I know, WindClan land is pretty flat and barren. No cover anywhere." He leaned forward and touched his nose to her ear. "I'm sure you'll do better next time. You'll be an awesome warrior."

Tuning in from a couple mouse-lengths away when he heard Shimmeringpaw's recollection of the assessment, Fawnsqueak peered over his shoulder with wide, puzzled eyes. Her version of events were strikingly different than what was intended to happen on their special assignment. Still gawking, Fawnsqueak gave it next to no thought before bluntly spilling, "Wait, THAT'S what you were doing?" he asked Shimmeringpaw, visibly taken aback. "All those times that you sort of vanished from the patrol, you were off hunting on WindClan's land? The rest of us were in the Outskirts... because, uh, that's what we were supposed to do.." What Lionstar had instructed, what Fawnsqueak had told them, and what Twilightstar had approved.

Realizing Goosepaw was there, Fawnsqueak coughed out in embarrassment, his gaze darting. "So... I guess--yeah--if she was hunting in another Clan's territory it would be unfamiliar. It probably would've been easier if she stayed with Sootflare and Wormpaw and me." This was an unfortunate revelation but did clear up some questions he'd had about where Shimmeringpaw had been disappearing to; now, it introduced complexities, and he was debating an apology to Twilightstar on their apprentice's behalf. To Shimmeringpaw, he frowned. "I had no idea. I just-- we... didn't think we had to kit-sit you. You were on the brink becoming a warrior, y'know?"

A cough at his lame joke, which he muttered a quick apology for under his breath in the next moment.

The new apprentice gave a small cross between a laugh and scoff, "Never took you for a biter anyways." Padding over to the reeds and grabbing a good amount the tom brought them back. Then went for another round for himself to thread.
It still was quite odd that the tom wanted to hang out with him, especially the fact they haven't talked and the outburst he had with the leader. Was Fawnsqueak being nice or snooping? The reeds were thin and long, weaving them together was not difficult. Difficult part was putting all of the packs of reeds together to reinforce the dens. "Okay, I'm going to be blunt here, why are you wanting to hang out with me?" Mossypaw couldn't help himself from asking that question, it was too much for him to not to.

The silver and white molly smiled sweetly at the apprentice. Her light baby blue eyes reflecting the gratitude and simple happiness to have a friend. Slightly blushing Shimmeringpaw opened her maw to speak but the toms voice beside her scared the she-cat. Jumping up from sitting down, hairs raised, eyes wide, and heart beating "F-Fawnsqueak!" She never imagined for the tom to unexpectedly butt his way into a conversation/ "I-I was looking-g bet-tween the O-utskirts and W-W-Windclanterritory." Studdering and rushing the last part of her sentence out. By now she was too scared and anxious to speak like a normal cat. What she didn't add that was she sometimes just watched the beauty of the territory and scouted out for better hunting spots.

Goosepaw started to smile back, but then stared at Fawnsqueak as the tom loomed suddenly over Shimmeringpaw's shoulder. His jaws moved but no sound coming out. He closed them, narrowed his eyes, and then moved in closer to Shimmeringpaw, pressing his body into hers to comfort her. "It isn't her fault," he said. "I doubt she would choose to do her assessment in a territory she doesn't know. Don't blame her!" He draped what he could of his tail over her back.
