RiverClan Clearing

Duckpaw looked at Snowpaw. Her legs buckled underneath her, but she managed to stay upright. “I think I can walk..fine enough.” the young apprentice mewed. Duckpaw was still in shock as to what she had done. What was I thinking. This could get me demoted from an apprentice. the young apprentice tried not to think about it too much, but the thoughts of it keeps seeping into her head.

Swanfeather was prepared to reply to Silvershade when he came to focus on someone walking towards the camp. Just before they could get too far, he stood and intercepted them, narrowing his eyes to try and look intimidating. "Halt! Who are ya, 'n' whatcha doin' comin' into RiverClan camp?" he questioned. The newcomer appeared to be female and held the scent of the Townsfolk on her. He stifled a shudder at the thought of his time there, with barking dogs and rumbling cars and all sorts of hideous things. RiverClan was far, far better than that not-so-pretty place. And it was his job to guard it, just as he was doing now!

Leopardblaze froze at sound of a voice. Her eyes instantly landed on the tom that stood in her way. "I'm Leopardblaze," she answered quickly. "I'm a Riverclan warrior." She continued quickly looking at the intimidating tom, "I was captured by Twolegs moons ago and I just managed to escape and find my way back."

[BEAR.]

Oh, wasn't this a surprise?

Another SkyClanner, but this one he kind of recognized. Not very well.. but he knew they had disappeared a moon or so before he became leader. Lionstar wished he could recall her name, but he hadn't really cared about the SkyClan cats at the time. Most of them had been useless.

"You can stand down, Swanfeather. I'll take it from here." Leopardblaze, huh? That was faintly familiar but he didn't know her beyond a mild acquaintance. "Just so you know, ..Leopardblaze, you technically aren't a RiverClan cat anymore. You've been gone since last Leaf-fall, did you know that?" He understood being captured, but he also wanted her to be aware that a lot of time has passed since she last walked this forest.

Leopardblaze stiffened a little as she noticed the tom's approach and listened quietly as he briefly spoke to the tom, Swanfeather. She recognized him after a very brief moment as a few names flooded back into her head. She hesitated for a moment listening to him speak. She looked at her paws for a moment before looking back at him, "I know I've been gone for a very long time. And I realize that my absence would've seemed more like a desertion to the clan after all this time."

He had been prepared to respond when Lionstar walked up, clamping his mouth shut as his eyes came to rest on the handsome tom. Swanfeather nodded politely, giving a quiet "yes, sir!" before returning to his spot as guard. He couldn't let himself get distracted and flustered! So, he continued to look on outside the camp, having completely forgotten what he and Silvershade were talking about.

"Yes, but I recognize that your desertion was not intentional. Twolegs are a menace to cats, aren't they?" Lionstar didn't linger on that long. "Welcome back home. A lot has changed.. so I would suggest re-familiarizing yourself with everyone. There aren't many SkyClan-blooded cats left, but I'm sure you might remember some of your old Clan-mates. Eagleflower [ @Moon Lily]! Come on over here, you can get Leopardblaze back into the swing of things."

Lionstar figured they might recognize each other a little more, both being former SkyClan cats. Although, he would have been Eaglepaw back then.. maybe that would help put things into perspective.

And he supposed he should introduce himself in the meantime! "Last time you were here you would have known me as Lionstorm, but Fallenstar and Frostflight are dead, and Grousestar resigned and vanished." The changes in the ranks should hint at his new name. "If you need anything, speak to me or Sootflare, my deputy.. he's the gay guy with the gay face that acts like a dad."

"Yes they certainly are," she nodded in agreement, thinking about the past several moons. "And thank you for allowing me back after all this time," she meowed dipping her head. She listened to him quietly as he explained everything nodding slowly, and called over another cat who seemed familiar to her. "Wow a lot has certainly changed since I've been gone," she said slowly and somewhat quietly. "I will Lionstar," she answered politely dipping her head. She would have to get used to a lot of changes and pondered what else happened while she had been gone.

Dogkit nodded toward Splahkit. "How about her?" He asked Foxpaw. She looks like she would be a good friend."I'm going to try to intoduce myself" He told her."I hope it goes well" He looked at her, turned and headed for the kit.

Silvershade moved to get up once the big scary intruder was spotted. Though.. they really didn't look too scary and Swanfeather was handling it. They settled on hanging back a tail length away, mouthing a small 'hello!' to the intruder. Silvershade moved out the way once Lionstar popped up, heading back to their good ol spot.

Once Swanfeather returned, Silvershade flashed a goofy grin. "Welcomeeee back!" They mrrowed.
