A flower, huh? Just the very thought made Blazingcomet a little more curious then he should have been. Technically he should have been more careful, considering the statements she was making were ones that were used by sharks sometimes. And no, not literal sharks; those fierce huntresses who preyed on the more delicate toms’ emotions. And, while Blazingcomet was anything but delicate, he definitely wasn’t smart enough to catch this. Funny. An expert flirt like him should have been able to detect that easily.
Was it possible that Gingerblossom was growing on him? Nah. The thought was ridiculous! For a tough, wild, tom like him? Untamed and strong? No. No one ‘grew on him.’ He was his own cat. He was the most powerful warrior. He was handsome, an absolutely amazing cat… toms envied him and she cats swooned before him. Most of them, anyways. But for some reason? This one just refused to even bend. Such a nice cat. Huh… nice. Nice was not a thing that the tom was familiar with being called, and he tried to work with it. Nope. It was impossible, he couldn’t find a way to figure out how to deal with it.
“Where is your housefolk’s, exactly?” Perhaps flowers were the way to this she cat’s heart. She seemed to have a deep love for them. And besides, the way she was describing this made Blazingcomet want to see it in her fur. It sounded so pretty. And then, the realization that she had actually moved closer hit the tom, and his expression changed instantly. He looked again, more flirtatious then before. “That flower sounds lovely, Gingerblossom. But there’s just one thing that concerns me; don’t you think your beauty will drown out the color?” It was cringe-worthy, the things he said. And yet Blazingcomet didn’t care. It was all just a game to him.

Gingerblossom sat there for a moment, trying to remember where her housefolk's house was. She had a faint memory, and knew that it was at the edge, near the woods. That's why she'd been drawn to come and live in this clan. "I know it's at the edge of the twolegplace." She meowed, "But I don't know where to go from there. That's okay though! We shouldn't put ourselves in danger for a flower." At his next statement, Gingerblossom drew back, an entirely confused look on her face. My beauty?
Drown out the color? She had no idea what Blazingcomet was trying to get at, for once, she was stumped. So, of course, she tried to take a little more logical approach to it. "Well, my fur is not the same color as the flower, so I don't think it could do that... But thanks anyways?" The last part came out sounding more like a question, but the poor she-cat was utterly confused.

After a few moments of sitting there, staring at the ground, Gingerblossom looked back up, the normal smile on her face. "But, there's no need to get it, because..." Gingerblossom didn't want to repeat herself again, and she realized that she wouldn't mind going and getting it, it was Blazingcomet she was worried about. He'd never been to the twolegplace, at least that she kenw of, and he could get himself in all sorts of trouble. "So, just forget I said anything about it." She purred, flicking her feathery tail.

Maybe she was right. It was probably a bad idea, just for a flower... now if there was something more attached, then he would be fine. But flowers weren't exactly the most important thing in the world. "Well, if you're sure, then." It seemed to be the final word on the matter before her response to his earlier compliment. She hadn't seemed to understand... which was alright by him, perhaps it was better that way anyways. It hadn't been the best thing he had ever chosen to say, anyways.
The logic in her statement did seem to make a lot of sense to Blazingcomet. Maybe a little too much. Oh StarClan, had he sounded stupid when he had said that? Hopefully not. Blazingcomet hated thinking of something that he thought sounded amazing, only to find that it didn't. "I just meant... I mean... the colors of the flower would look dull next to the colors of your pelt? Or cats wouldn't notice it as much because you're so much prettier." Now he was sounding desperate.
Like he was trying to impress her without her knowledge; nah, that wasn't really his style. At her last words he shrugged-- in his mind, the subject had already been dropped. If she really didn't think it was a good idea, then so be it... he wasn't about to go against her wishes. "So, Gingerblossom... you definitely want to hang out more, then?" She hadn't really said that earlier. But he was hoping that he would be able to make it sound like she had and therefore, win... whatever it was he was going to win. Her heart, perhaps.

Of course, the she-cat wasn't laughing at Blazingcomet, but rather with him, even though he wasn't really laughing either. She didn't take that into consideration though, she just assumed he would know that she wasn't laughing at him. At his question, Gingerblossom nodded her head. "Of course? Why wouldn't I?" She didn't really elaborate on it, and she meant it in a friendly way, not knowing the ginger tom might take it a different way. Her social cues weren't the best.
"Plus, it'll give us more time to get to know each other better." Gingerblossom was all about getting to know other cats better. She loved to know them, inside and out, so she knew what made them happy, how to tell when they are sad so she could cheer them up, how to calm them when they are angry... Little did the calico know, that there were many things about Blazingcomet that the optimistic feline would not be able to understand without extensive explaining.

"Yeah. Get to know each other better." The orange tom nodded, looking directly at her with an expression of 'this is taking longer then I thought.' And yet still, he had not lost his interest in the multi-colored feline. How could she still be so intriguing when he was beginning to get the sense that he didn't really stand much of a chance? How was it possible for all his interest to be wrapped up in this one feline, who was quite predictably going to friendzone him? Blazingcomet hated the friendzone. And, while he might be grasping at nothing, saying that she would: from what he had seen, it was quite likely. But, perhaps he was wrong. If he were? To him, it would be like doing the impossible. Of course there were things he simply wouldn't tell her about himself. She didn't need to know everything! Hopefully. "So, you have lots of friends here, right?" Assuming an answer in the question. He was suggesting the answer would be yes: in a way. In his mind he was. But he was hoping that there was something keeping her here so she wouldn't want to leave. Blazingcomet did not want the sweet feline to leave... ever. She was special. He would definitely be keeping his eye on her even when he did get bored. Which, at the rate this was going? Wouldn't be for a long, long time. He would just have to be careful.

Honeyblaze sighed, she and Ebony hated getting their pelts dirty. "Honey, this is MOUSE-BRAINED! They got me involved!" She said, shaking dust from her fur. Honeysong snorted, twitching her tail. "I'm going back to sleep, you'd better wash off." She replied.

Gingerblossom nodded. "Yeah, I'm pretty connected with most cats in the clan. And if there is someone I don't know, of course I get to know them! I would hate it if there were certain cats who I just left out because I never reached out to them!" Gingerblossom made it her goal to talk to every cat in her clan as much as possible, even if they acted like they did not want to talk to her. The poor calico had no idea when some other cat was trying to hint to her they wanted to be alone, she just can't understand why anyone would want to be alone, at any time. Gingerblossom very much disliked being alone, the only exception is when she goes to use the dirtplace. She likes to be with cats when she sleeps, when she eats, and even when she hunts. She has very little want for any alone time.
Gingerblossom glanced up at the sky, realizing how dark it was getting. "Oh wow, I've been talking to you since sunhigh! That's a long time!" Or course, Ginger was not surprised one bit by this, it was totally normal for a cat like her to just ramble on and on and on.
But now, one of the feline's favorite times of day was coming. She loved the night, and the sky, how beautiful it was, sparkling with stars. She had always wondered if other cats appreciated the night sky. She smiled at Blazingcomet, then flicked her tail slightly, inviting him, but not forcing him, to follow her. Then the pale-furred calico ran over to a tree at the edge of the clearing, and started to climb it.

"He don't have to like me if he don't want too." she huffed. Bluekit felt her heart sink and she just wished he didn't blame her.
