Oceanpaw purred, pleased by her mother's words. She had always idolised Splashdrift. I mean, how could she not? The she-cat had taken in a lowly non-clan kit and raised her to be a confident and proud almost-warrior of Riverclan. It was an accomplishment few would have had the willingness to attempt to achieve, and Oceanpaw was beyond grateful for the opportunities her mother had given her. She was hopeful she would get the opportunity to one day repay her great debt to Splashdrift, but how she would accomplish such a feet she was unsure. "I wonder what my warrior name shall be," She spoke aloud, half-inquiring half-stating the phrase. She expected her suffix to relate to water in some way, making her entire name a completely expected stereotype of Riverclan. Perhaps it would make her feel as though she'd fully been accepted, having had any figment of her past life completely erased from the moment of her warrior ceremony onwards. She had questions unanswered, feelings left undealt with, and her warrior ceremony represented freedom from it all - from her real family. She could care less for them; they didn't represent her in any way, but she couldn't help but feel unwanted due to their abandonment. But it is not biology that makes a up a parent, but a willingness to raise a child that does. Splashdrift had given Oceanpaw unconditional love, and she longed for the day she could bestow such love onto kits of her own.

Shadepaw let out a smile and stepped back to allow her to take the first bite. He could tell that she was hungry. He didn't mind sharing his meal with anyone.
