Seriously watching her mothers movements and advice Snakekit corrected her stance best she could and did a bit of experimental sneaking. It was passible but in no way good, lacking any polish that would come from practice and the kit snaked (hehe) her way around the area eventually fixating on Foxblazes tail. Moving into position Snakekit was determined to go for round two in her war against the fluffy tail, sneaking closer and getting ready to pounce.

Foxblaze smiled as this little one had her whole heart. “Snakekit, remember to use your back legs as you spring and to keep your eyes on the target.” she whispered.

Snakekit shuffled her legs as she listened to Foxblazes advice staring at Foxblazes tail. Closer, closer, and... JUMP! Snakekit sprang at her target paws outstretched to take down the fluffy target.

Violetpaw paused and looked into the water where multiple silver, orange, blue and pink fish shimmered. She paused before hooking her claws through ones eye and smiled as she killed it and held it in her mouth.

Padding alongside her, the red-brown tom let his blind gaze drift down to his paws, ears twitching as he listed to the river rushing beside them. "Yeah, and I'll only get better at hunting if I practice." He meowed with a shrug. If he just avoided it, then he wasn't going to learn how to do it with his disability.

Flyfur smiled at him, though he probably couldn't see it. She would greatly appreciate the company, of nothing else.
"That's a very good attitude to have about it."
She softly padded beside him to the river.

"Good job." ThornHeart mewed, staring at the water, she decided to claw the orange fish that was looking for food. She clawed it by it's head and before it could wiggle free she threw it away from the river. "I think this is good." She began to pick up her fish and waited for the young apprentice to respond.

With a serious nod Snakekit looked around to find some prey and eventually spotted a small finch. The stalking when ok, the pouncing went ok, the takedown was a mess. Grappling with a bird not much smaller than him Snakekit and her prey were a mass of feathers and fur as the kit just couldn't manage to deal a killing blow. By the time Snakekit had clawed the bird to death the prey was well and truly mangled and there was fluff everywhere but she still puffed up her chest held her head high and looked expectantly up at Foxblaze for praise for her hunt. But Foxblaze could probably tell that this must've been the stupidest bird in the forrest because there was no other way the kit could've caught it.

Foxblaze practically glowed with pride, “Oh my! You really caught that bird. We could bring it back and show the clan what you did. I haven’t heard of many other kits who catch birds.” Foxblaze padded up to her daughter and bend down to give her an affectionate nuzzle before sitting back up to look at her baby.

“Oh your so big. Soon you’ll be leaving me behind and becoming a warrior. It feels like just yesterday you were just born and still had your eyes closed.” Foxblaze mewed with a couple tears of happiness and a bit of sadness mixed in. She would miss these days.
