"No! I'm fine. Just my shoulder popped." she smiled weakly then turned her head. "And I don't know what you mean by I served my Clan well. I've only been her for six moons. Before that, I was a loner. I haven't served this Clan at all. But I've been trying to regain use of my legs." she sighed and licked her white fur. "So, what brings you to the elders' den? I know it isn't to stare. I get enough of that from the kits."

He shrugged,"Apprentice duties. We have to deal with ticks, fleas, and elder's bedding." He meowed

Iris blushed a little and looked down. She hated having to have apprentices look after her. It was embarrassing to her. "Well, I don't think I have any fleas or ticks, but you could check...." her mew was quiet. "As for the bedding, I can always get that myself."

Vixenpaw nodded," and began searching her fur and killed it by bite her teeth on her spotting a tick and put the mousebile on it until it fell off.

Vixenpaw shrugged,” Huh. Most elder’s say young cats like me lost respect for elders. That might be true. I might not enjoy doing choirs, but I’m not rude when doing them.” He meowed truthfully.

"It's not just doing chores." Iris meowed. "Everytime I step out of this den, I get a ton of stares. And the kits are too young to understand that what they say is hurtful. Their mothers apologize, but I can tell they think the same thing. I just feel so....so useless!"

He paused," Maybe help Shinefang. It might make you feel less useless. Kits don't think when they speak anyways."

Iris was silent for a few seconds. "I've considered it, but I don't think Shinefang would appreciate having a disabled cat crawling around the medicine den. Besides, I haven't been a part of SkyClan for very long. And Grousestar has yet to change my name."

He nodded,"Perhaps take a mate and have kits. Raising kits does help the clan ensuring they have more cats." He meowed trying to find a way to help her feel useful.
