Oddeyes (old white she-cat with one blue and one amber eye) poked her head into the medicine den. "Hello?" She paused and listened for a second before repeating herself. "Hello? Does anyone have an herb for stomachache?"

Heatherkit smiled at Puddlekit. He purred and shook his thick pelt. "Thanks Puddlekit. I hope we are always friends." He slowly swished his tail back and forth. "I bet when we are warriors, we will be looking at the kits and talking about which kit we would like as an apprentice." He smiled, thinking about it. @Puddletail

Oddeyes shuffled stiff-leggedly into the elders' den, glancing around before settling down in her nest. She stretched out, wincing, and curled up with her tail over her nose.

Puddlekit smiled right back. "I hope we are too." Hmm, he thought, hearing Heatherkit talking about them being mentors. It seemed so far away...and yet...every day was passing quicker than the day before it. It almost felt as if they would be warriors in the blink of an eye. He felt like it was just yesterday that he had met Twilightstar and joined the clan. Yet it had almost been a month. "I feel like we're going to be all grown up before we even know it. Time is passing so quickly." He turned to Heatherkit and purred. "I guess we should enjoy our youth while we still can."

Heatherkit nodded, thinking about what life would be like as an adult. "I think, most kits want to be a warrior as a kit, but most warriors wish they were a kit again..." He turned to watch the kits that were in the den. "When I saw the tiny kits, I didn't think that we were ever that small. But I guess that we were." He smiled at Puddlekit, purring softly.

@wolfnight (sorry if I'm taking a while to reply, I'm switching between drawing and being on here)

"Yeah. We might find it limiting that we can hardly do anything but play. And yet, warriors likely envy us because we don't really have any responsibilities except to behave." Following Heatherkit's gaze, Puddlekit smiled as he watched the little newborns crying for milk. "I bet those times were even simpler. We didn't even have to worry about grooming ourselves or getting our own prey. But I don't really miss those days...nor do I remember them."

Heatherkit smiled, excited for the things ahead. He couldn't wait to become an apprentice. He was looking forward to learning to hunt and attack and defend. He had so many plans for what was ahead. "So, I know you have some other kit friends, and I was wondering if you could tell me about them." Heatherkit knew that the only real friend he had was Puddlekit. He wanted more friends, but it took him a while to trust a new cat after what happened with Ashwing.

Boulderclaw wrinkled his nose at the sight of all of the kits. He spotted his mate towards the back of the nursery, narrowing his eyes at the queen she was talking to. Confidently striding over to her, he stepped in between the two. he glared at lynxstep, I'm sure you are being kind to my mate, right? He growled, his tail lashing behind him. @Wings

Lynxstep was taken a bit back by the toms behavior. "Excuse me but I believe your mate has the right to choose who she talks to. And I don't think your kits would like to grow up knowing their father was a control freak." She scolded him, bobtail flicking in the background. He had no right to butt into their conversation even if Softfeather was his mate. The cream queen was just glad Coyotekit wasn't here to see this.

SoftFeather looked over to BoulderClaw, "Oh, no! Of course not!" she mewed with surprise. "I know your protective... but, a queen being mean to another
queen?" she meowed defending her new friend. "I'm sorry, he is very protective of me!" SoftFeather apologized to the queen.
