"The memories are not full," Fellcone confessed. He assumed this was where Frozen's question was going. "Bits and pieces, I put together like a shattered mosaic. It is far from perfect but it.. reminds me of things. Eyes that burn like hot coals, smoldering and suffocating. They melt the eyes of frost, break it down into nothing.. and expect the forest to pick up the pieces." Quiet, for a moment. Contemplating, because it reminded him of ShadowClan and the why just did not click. not yet, at least.

Frost, ice. Ice. it hit, different. Two ice were better than one, but only one was Good. And the good.. his far-gaze was on Frozen. Soft, warm, motherly. If only Frozen could pass that onto their children.

Ah, maybe someday. A click of the tongue, and he moved on before his head hurt more. "I think of causing harm to many, for they.. have done nothing to deserve my mercy. If you have a list, give it - and you will see it done." A dangerous inflection, the crave to spill blood never truly left. Especially when they touched, hurt, his favorites.

And when the dawn returned, so would Scorchedfang - a mask to hide true intentions.

Frozenberry -

 

Frozenberry swallowed hard with Falcon's gaze settling onto him, Unsettling, really. That was more appropriate. (Wondering what he was thinking about, if he imagined hurting him. If he had those thoughts too.) "Uhhhh huhhhh..." was finally what he choked out, trying to sort through that. The eyes. The burning eyes.

He had no idea what Falcon was on about but had his own experiences to draw from with everwatching gazes, judgmental. No understanding rested behind them. What Falcon said, almost sounded like some wacky medicine cat prophecy, and that caused him to shudder.

The worst line of work imaginable for a now self-proclaimed serial killer, and Frozenberry had little doubt about his honesty. Falcon's decision that violence was the default and mercy was the exception twisted his stomach with anxiety.

(There was something ironic about the list comment though. He'd probably have Falcon in both the Save and Kill columns.)

"You're really something." And the way it came out was laced in sugary affection like it was a compliment, but it may as well have been an admission of fear.

It was ominous, an echo of a past Father who may now look upon him with pride. .. Scorchedfang, Fellcone wondered if he would. But he would never know, as his tail swished against the floor. He felt antsy, gaze sweeping back toward the broken windowframe. Wondering if they were watched, followed. If his secrets would leave the security of this den..

But nothing came, and they remained alone. He forced the fur along his back to lie flat as he shuffled to sink over Frozen, a protective heap to keep his exposed belly safe. "Fear me not, dear. My Wrath will not touch you tonight." Perhaps in the future, an echo itself of past words. ".. you have never been deserving of it, I think." he had, and always was, worthy of protection. Lost and abused, like the name of a Clan ran only by soft-hearted cowards. But he would not hurt anymore, Fellcone would make sure of it.

".. One day," he mused after a moment. "I would like to ditch those fools, but I feel I cannot until I see them rise to their potential - or collapse under their frailty."
