Cricketflight padded out into the clearing and looked for Minnowpaw. He'd put this off long enough and now he finally decided it was time he took this new and unfamiliar task head on rather than keep dancing around it and keep hoping it would be less daunting.

Palepaw approached Lionstorm, a grim look to her face. She forgot to ask him about it when the meeting had concluded.
"You said Dogflame had died.... what happened to him?"
She hadn't felt well since, but she wanted to at least know how it happened.

Spottedpaw stood up and padded out of the den. She spotted Minkstripe and ran over as fast as her little legs could carry her. "Hi, Minkstripe!!!" She mewed smiling as she stopped running. Her eyes glimmered with happiness as she stood up and walked over curiously.

Minkstripe had been grooming herself when the little cat ran over to her. She chuckled, curling her tail around her belly. "Hello, little one, how have you been," she asked in the motherly voice she'd been practicing. The small she-cat caught her a little by surprise, but she wasn't too pressed; sometimes when she groomed herself too much her pelt would lose its poof, and she couldn't have that.

"Good!! You?" The older apprentice asked happily. She had been trying to practice her manners, but she guesses it won't be too bad to act like herself for a while. She smiled and sat down to groom a paw.

"Oh, I've been alright. These kits have been really restless lately," Minkstripe says with a chuckle. She glances at her belly, swollen with kits. She hopes they come soon, carrying them around has been really tiring, especially since she can't run around anymore. She misses being able to swim, but she knows it's for the best interest of her kits that she doesn't. "I've heard you're becoming a warrior soon, that's nice!"
