Ciara put her hands on the branch, tilting her head at him when he whispered his name. "Did you say Violet?" She asked. "That's a nice name. Can I ask why you are so scared? Are you being pressed down by those "cat monsters" everyone talks about?" She wonders if he was one hidden as a human. She heard that was possible. Ciara scanned him carefully and saw the emerald around his neck. "Is your family wealthy? That's an emerald around your neck with... a gold wire? Wow. That is so cool. Wait. If you are from a wealthy family..." Ciara looked around, getting scared. Was she gonna get in a lot trouble? "Um..."

Violet stared at the ground with wide, anxious eyes. Then, Ciara mentioned "cat monsters." Monsters? She couldn't mean Catsaiths, could she? He felt a bit angry, but of course it was almost entirely eclipsed by his anxiety. He put a hand over his necklace when she mentioned it, staring into Ciara's eyes with a serious gaze. "Y-yes, they're wealthy," he said. "But it's just because they're powerful and everybody's scared of them."

He suddenly felt very self conscious.

"I h-hate them..."

Ciara panicked even more at his answer. "Oh, no! Please tell me I'm not dead meat if they find a lowly girl from a poor family with you!" She cried. She missed what he said after that, because she lost her balance and fell off the branch. She crashed to the ground with a cry and fear and pain.

Ciara pulled herself up, groaning in pain. "Ow..." She rubbed her head in pain, her back hurting. She glanced up at the tree.

Violet quickly shook his head. "Oh, no, I didn't mean it like tha-" The snap of a branch cut him off. He shrunk into himself as he watched her fall, eyes wide with fear for her safety. "A-are you okay...?" he called cautiously from the tree.

Violet was sure that Ciara would blame him for her fall.

Ciara looked up at him. "But then... If it's not a tail, that be attached or fake... Then what is that? Some furry underwear?" She almost giggled at that. Furry underwear? Who would ever want that? "I'll be real with you. I'm not like the others here. I don't attack. I'm peaceful. I only attack if it's the only option I have or if my family and friends are threatened. And... I have no family, other than my brother... Who is in the army... And my only friend is Alyssa, who I barely see... So... I'm all on my own." She offered her hand again.

"Violet? Would you like a friend? I can be a friend."
