She didn't want to be here. More than anything, Bravebird wanted to be half-way to RiverClan's camp right now, ripping and tearing and slaughtering any cat who came across her path. Fernpaw's death - his actual death - still hung over her like a dark cloud as the Fury emerged from the warrior's den. Her eyes were narrowed, blue orbs of blazing fury as she stalked out towards the Galewood. Each step felt like agony, each voice she heard like claws on her ears. She pressed them flat against her skull and managed to sit at the edge of the crowd, whipping her tail around to cover her paws.

Nothing felt right anymore. She had held out hope for so long of the cat who'd felt like a brother to her to return - but now, with him buried, Brave knew he never would. It made her heart scream in devastation as she turned her gaze towards Twilightstar. Revenge was the only thing on her mind, and she sincerely hoped that this meeting would shed light on just how they planned to exterminate RiverClan.

Spottedpaw wondered over but barely listened. She was sure that there was just going to be more bad news and she wasn't sure she could take more of it

Well at first Rabbitpaw had planned to make a trot towards Crowtooth, his mentor, he seemed to be waiting for someone though and as he turned his gaze around the gathering cats his green eyes caught on Watertail. Rabbitpaw watched the limb with a wince, seeing a clan mate in pain almost made him hurt though Rabbitpaw wouldn't complain though but he tries his best to help hurting cats feel better by trying to bring some positivity. It was all he knew to do in the face of sadness. The apprentice, after tripping over his own paws and crashing into the floor and subsequently hopping up with an embarrassed look on his face, trotted over to the warrior instead of his original target.

The apprentice sat down beside the warrior and watched as he talked briefly with a kit that had come from the nursery. Pumpkinkit if what Watertail spoke was true and obviously that was true because why would the warrior call the kit something that he wasn't. Maybe he shouldn't speak to Watertail actually, but the warrior still seemed sad. Did he lose someone in the mink fight? Rabbitpaw knew that some warriors hadn't come home, at least, not in the same way they had been when they left. In injury, or in their journey to the stars already. He couldn't imagine what that was like, or he could in some way, some of his siblings have been lost but Rabbitpaw has always been distant with his siblings despite his efforts on getting close with them.

Well anyways, point was, Watertail was sad and Rabbitpaw wanted to help. It was in his nature to help anyone. Be it Windclan or not, if someone was in trouble of any kind, Rabbitpaw will be there in a flash to help. The blonde apprentice came and sat beside the warrior and the kit and offered the two a smile before turning his attention to the warrior. "Hello Mister Watertail, a-are you okay? I mean...obviously everyone is hurt by the mink fight in some way, so..I just mean, um, do you need someone to chat to?" That was much more long winded then what Rabbitpaw had intended but lately his words have been working against him and he still hasn't figured out why exactly talking seemed so difficult lately. It was as though some other outside force spun a wheel and it decided that Rabbitpaw randomly can't talk, annoying. Then his paws followed suit but he didn't pay that much mind, he had more important things to focus on.

Pumpkinkit blinked up to Rabbitpaw, giving a tiny purr of greeting. Looking over Watertail turned to the apprentice. "Hi Rabbitpaw... someone to talk to would be nice" Watertail admitted softly. The senior warrior let his tail drop behind him as he settled comfortably. "It's just about the battle with the minks.... it's complicated but.. my mate Wheattail.. went missing a moon or so back I'm sure you've heard.. if not it's ok. But she was killed by the minks." Watertail mewed after a comforting lick from Pumpkinkit which he accepted with a gentle nuzzle. "I avenged her... but I guess it's just now settling in that no matter what I do she'll never come back.." Watertail meowed gently. Raw, harsh grief shown in the Maine coon's sharp blue eyes as he blinked sadly across the clearing to Orangepaw, who sat outside the apprentice den mopey and tired looking. "Orangepaw is the only thing I have left of her... but he can't become a warrior... so it just breaks my heart even more he can't fulfill the dream his mother wanted of him.. and I don't know what to do about it... " He mewed

Watertail didn't know why, but after confiding in the apprentice he couldn't stop his ramble. The senior Tom had kept in all of his worries so much he just couldn't hold back. "I think I'm a bad father..." Watertail whispered after a moment, closing his eyes painfully as he drew his tail over his muzzle for a moment to keep himself from giving a sorrowful whimper.

Brighpaw joined the meeting.
She hadn't joined the battle with the minks because she didn't have enough battle training, but she was frankly relieved. She had met those foul beasts before, when they explored the tunnels. Once was enough for her.

Deadmoon limped her way over, her left front leg dragging a bit because even if the surface wounds had been patched up it was still painful if she tried to affect a normal stride. There was no point here. She might have tried if she was in front of another clan, at a gathering, and after the battle, but among cats who were friendly, or at least familiar with her typical failings as a cat and wouldn't be overly offended or zero in upon weakness if she was a bit slower than usual. She hoped that Duckpaw would show up, it was nice to have the apprentice back but she did need to start attending meetings. She couldn't keep getting all of her information second paw from Deadmoon, and at some point, she'd want to participate in a battle or mission or something. Deadmoon didn't want her to be so uninvolved that Twilightstar started questioning things, not that their leader was typically too uptight about that sort of thing. She'd managed to stick around long enough being useless and mopey, after all. It would still be nice for Duckie to show up though. @Marycat006

Ah...a meeting...guess it was about time to address all the bad news. The long-haired apprentice quietly padded over and sat down, grey tabby paws kneading the ground nervously. The thought of sitting through and listening to their leader listing every one of their grievances was daunting to Frostpaw. They'd lost so...much...she didn't want to be reminded. Suppose, she could try and be brave.

Moors and skies, it had been seasons since Dapplebreeze had felt soreness even remotely comparable to what coursed through her body now. She hadn't been cut up or bitten by the minks, making her appear as unruffled and well kept as she always maintained herself. Not out of vanity, of course, but because an unkempt pelt would reek, mat, and overall make hunting all the more difficult. It didn't stop her steps from being just a hint stiffer than even her older age would suggest, though. Senior warrior she might be, but she was nowhere close to the elder's den just yet.

Sitting down as the leader called a meeting forth, the former queen could feel her eyes watering at the strain of keeping her muscles tense for too long, and soon settled for laying down instead. It wasn't her intention to seem nonchalant about what had just occurred, but stars almighty if she was forced to sit for too long she might just weep, and the spotted fury was simply too proud for that. Perhaps she should go to Lightningstorm later for some poppy seeds. She could already see the calico's deadpanned stare at the older molly's admittance that the pain came from the fight against the minks and she had... simply decided to walk it off instead of joining the rest of the injured shortly after the fight but... well... It hadn't seemed like such a big deal at the time. Oh that visit would surely go splendidly...
