Smiling a bit, she brushed her tail along the ground. He seems nice. Easy to talk to, at least. Better than most. "How are you today?" She asked, using the lamest conversation starter ever. "It's, er, nice weather, huh?" Already being stupid again, Mockingfeather looked upwards at the dark, puffy clouds flying in to cover RiverClan territory. Most Clans would joke about how RiverClan shouldn't mind the rain with how much time they spend in the water, but it was a completely different thing. Rain felt like a bunch of tiny needles, and it soaked the territories 'till no dry spots remained. Water was something contained by the banks of the river. It was more peaceful, and didn't yowl and growl as loud as possible when you were trying to sleep. Instead, the gurgling was nice and repetitive, soothing even the worst sleepers. Mockingfeather knew. She was a horrible sleeper. And when you came out of the water you could sun yourself on one of the many rocks provided by the river, and be dry in no time. With rain, everything is damp, and afterwards the mist clogs up all your senses and makes it hard to hunt properly. Not to mention rain spoils food.

Annnnnd now, with that rant, a light drizzle had begun, showering down on the two felines. It was so humid and the air was so thick with moisture her pelt felt heavy and as though she was stuck in place. "Nevermind. Not-so-nice weather anymore," Mockingfeather grumbled, shaking her long, mottled pelt out repeatedly.

Jaggedcloud flinched as a rain drop landed in his eye. "I hate the feeling of rain." He meowed. He looked up to the raining clouds, and another raindrop hit his eye. He quickly looked at the ground, so another raindrop wouldn't hit his eye.

Snowsong bounded through the territory. She placed her paws down softly to make sure she didn’t scare off the prey, so they can catch something. “Hm, where should we go?” She asked.

Mudnose paused without answering her,"vole," he whispered.

Snowsong pricked her ears as she spotted the furry creature. She dropped into a crouch and hesitated. Her gaze flicked toward Mudnose, seeing if he wanted to catch it.

Shifting her paws anxiously for what felt like the thousandth time that day,
Mockingfeather gulped a little bit, well aware of how awkward this conversation was. She was practically begging StarClan to save her from this horrible,
humiliating first impression with this tom. "Yes. It's very... unpleasant, so to speak." Overall, she was sick and tired of repeatedly smacking herself for stupid replies and questions, so at this point she was doing her best to just "go with the flow". She flinched a little as the raindrops repeatedly hit him in the eye, purring a little bit at the reaction. "We should really hide somewhere without drops to hit us in our eyes." Grinning a little,
she led him under a sycamore tree, its great boughs spanning the surface wide enough that they could sit under it.

Jaggedcloud seemingly rolled his eyes and followed, he shivered a little bit, as the cold rested in his fur, and seeped under it and onto his skin.

A small frown overshadowing her smile, she realized that the younger cat was shivering. Personally, Mockingfeather wasn't very cold at all. Yes, she had been rained on as well, but she had a huge, long, filthy, dragging-on-the ground mess of fur. Feeling bad for him, she scooted closer until their fur touched. "You lookd cold," she explained, quickly finding that she was correct. His fur was cold to the touch.

Mudnose glanced at her and then stalked to the other side of the little furry creature, surrounding it and nodded to her, waiting.

Snowsong blinked and darted forward. She quickly swiped her claws across the furry creatures back, killing it. The she-cat lifted the prey in her jaws and looked at Mudnose.
