Not as good as Mouse, I'm guessing, but he is super smug and arrogant. If he won or lost he would still protest. Crows such a snob lol

This time Smokestep wasn't prepared and he spun around as her claws graced just above his eyes. Closing one eye, where blood fell down, he again pushed closer to Creekgaze, this time his claws out. He hissed, feeling the blood still dripping, now down his cheek. He crouched and with his front paw he lashed out hoping to catch the she-cat unaware.

Unfortunately for him, they already were well aware of the potential for a retort-- Creekgaze leapt back, getting away with only the smallest of nicks on their chest. They drew their lips back again in a snarl, letting out a sound of incomprehensible frustration before springing back another tail-length in a squirrel-like fashion, tail lashing, pupils slitted as small as they could go.

There was something about the way Creekgaze fought that seemed so much predatory than others: all their other instincts were in check, and they did not hear, did not feel anything but the pumping of blood through their veins and the shedding of others' on their claws. They were hooked on that sensation, not having to think of anything else, merely being able to stalk away and lick their wounds afterwards. Of course, this was the first time they had lashed out on a clanmate of theirs, and the repercussions existed, but no matter. They'd been made to feel small, and they were returning the favour.

It was justifiable, wasn't it?

Despite his failings, they were starting to realise that they had probably taken it too far, but there was never enough. They were hooked on the thrill of the hunt, and besides, didn't he deserve it? The enby spat out a staccato ki-ki-ki before leaping again, their paws spread, claws hooked, coming in for the kill.

Smokestep evaded them, by side stepping yet their claws still hit him. He leaned over and pinned her to the ground. Why was he doing this? Yes. He had to stop Creekgaze from doing more harm than they'd already done. He snarled, "Stop it! Fighting a clanmate isn't gonna solve anything. Even if you are angry at me, which I don't actually think is why you attacked me, this won't solve the problem! This will only make it worse!" Using his weight as a power, he pinned Creekgaze, his eyes never leaving theirs. "Isn't it bad enough with what we lost from the flood? Killing another Warrior will just add to another loss!"

Shardkit squeaked and let her mother lift her off the ground.
