Maplepaw had been laying in her nest, staring absently at the wall of the apprentices den. Her mentor hadn't come to get her and she hadn't seen anybody that she knew very much, being unwilling as of current to just go up and talk to someone. She regretted that now though, seeing as she was now very bored.... Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.... She watched a bug crawl along the den wall and momentarily wondered why there was a bug in the apprentices den before she decided to actually do something instead of telling herself that she was bored. The pale ginger tabby rolled onto her belly and pushed herself to her feet, heading towards the clearing in order to attempt to find one of her close friends.

Silverkit sat in the corner of the clearing, the silvery tabby's blue hues looking worriedly out over all the other cats. Her expression was one of nervous anxiety, as though she were waiting for something...and knew that it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Her tail twitched nervously on the ground, and her ears were tilted backwards at an awkward angle, one that didn't make her look like the most approachable cat, although if you could get to know her she was one of the most friendly and kind cats around. She was careful not to approach anyone- she generally let cats come to her. That was how she generally was able to tell if they were interested in being friends with her, from how they approached her, although every once in a while if she saw a cat that looked like they could use a kind word or a confidence boost, she would venture over to them.

Timekit wandered out of the nursery. His large orange ears, which looked way too big for his tiny head, perked up as he looked around the busy camp. He padded forward a few steps, dipping his head to any warriors as they went by, and even though they didn't acknowledge the young kitten back, he puffed out his chest in pride. The kitten wondered for a moment where his brother was, he hoped Houndkit was doing something productive and not getting in trouble again. He knew it was hard on him since they didn't have a mother anymore though, so Timekit didn't blame him when he did do something dangerous like sneak out of camp. The kitten was so focused on his thoughts, he didn't realize he was padding toward another cat until he bumped into them. "Ah! Oh my, I'm so sorry!" He frantically dipped his head in apology to Silverkit.

"Oh it's fine, don't worry about it," She said in her general soft, gentle tone. She dared herself to look up at him and allowed her large blue eyes to scan him, almost memorizing his features. She tended to do that with most cats that she met, it was just something that she enjoyed doing...although in all honesty, it was a little creepy sometimes. "I'm Silverkit," She introduced herself in the most confident tone that she could manage which was just slightly louder than her usual one. She managed to force a friendly smile, although it looked a little uneasy and as though she wasn't quite sure of what she was doing...as hard as she tried, she couldn't make it much more friendly or welcoming. And that annoyed her...she wanted to look friendly and like she would like to have the company of this kit, but it was as though there was something stopping her. "S-sorry," She apologized, her eyes flitting downwards once more. What am I apologizing for? My appearance? My unfriendliness? Oh come on Silverkit, you've got to get a grip! She thought, the tip of her tail twitching with annoyance.

He blinked in surprise when she suddenly introduced herself, and offered a friendly smile in response. "I'm Timekit!" The tom mewed eagarly, realizing that he could actually probably make a friend of this cat even though he had so rudely bumped into them. His own smile faultered a bit when her smile back seemed forced and uneasy, confusion erupting in his green orbs. However, the she-kit instantly apologized for it, making him realize that she probably didn't make friends very often which was similar to him. "It's alright!" He meowed, his smile falling easily back into place. The tom kit kinda enjoyed how refreshing she was compared to his somewhat-bossy brother. He loved his sibling, but it was nice to get away every now and then. "Do you want to be friends?" It seemed to be an appropriate question to him, but would probably seem pretty awkward to anyone else since he sounded so proper.

Silverkit blinked in surprise. She wasn't used to having other cats ask her to be friends...sometimes they would offer to play with her or something, but they never really asked to be true friends...her face seemed to light up and she managed a more friendly, genuine smile. "Y-yes," She stammered. It wasn't that she was unsure of her decision- she often got nervous easily, and she seemed to be either thinking about something or being more offstandish when in reality, she was just being herself. She was very quiet and soft-spoken, instead of being more forwards. "So...what do we do now?" She asked a little awkwardly. She wasn't used to having a true friend- it was a different experience for her, and one that she wasn't likely to forget very easily. Her smile remained on her maw, and her soft ocean blue hues still had the bright light in them that showed her excitement. Although she was a little nervous that perhaps he might change his mind once he realized that she wasn't the most...exciting kit to be around. She didn't do mischievous things, like sneaking out, and she wasn't particularly friendly, energetic, or playful. But she did know how to make other cats feel better...at least, in her experience she had been pretty good at it. She raised her blue hues to meet his own once again, and her ears had gone from their original scared state to a more natural, friendly one.

Willowpaw finally cought a glimpse of what seemed to be Maplepaw. He walked closer to be sure it was her. When he did confirm she was the cat he was looking for, he called to her. "Hey maplepaw! Finally up? I've been looking for you." he explained, a sweet smile on his face. He bounced around her a little, quite excited about their idea of exploring the tunnels they had found. 3 days ago, their other friend finchpaw had found the tunnels on what was supposed to be a territory exploration. He had hurt himself in the process, so he didn't want to go back. Willowpaw could understand that, but he would definitely tell him everything they found in there when they got back. "Are you ready to go?" he asked excitedly.
