Amberstorm looked around and tasted the scents of the forest "i can't find anything..." He slowly crawled along the trees, hoping they weren't entering an owls or fox' territory. "See if you can find anything..." All his senses were sharpened but he realized the mouse might have created to much commotion. He didn't want to mention it though.

Maplefur scented the air, but couldn't smell anything. "I can't find anything either... I think I scared everything away," she murmured. Continuing to scan the ground below, and occasionally scenting for anything, she gave a frustrated huff.

"Its fine... We can just rest and let the prey return..." Amberstorm brushed against his mate "Ill go get my vole then come back here... don't stress yourself out." He left a second later to find his vole.

Maplefur sighed. "Alright, I'll be waiting." She watched him pad away, keeping her eyes on him until he padded out of sight. She turned to the ground below. Well, I could at least try to practice. Picking a particular leaf on the ground, she readied herself before pouncing and landing on the leaf. It's much easier when it's not moving! She stepped off the leaf, shaking off the bits that had crumpled onto her paws.

Amberstorm found his pile of dirt and got his vole. He took his time returning. He needed a bit of time to think about everything that suddenly happened today.

Maplefur let out a yawn, suddenly all the events from the day crashing down on her. Goodness, so much happened! Her eyes half closed in a drowsy way, and she went to lay down at the bottom of the trunk before a ladybug caught her attention. She crawled up to it, staring at it with wide eyes. Pausing, she slowly put her paw down next to in, in the path that it was crawling. She mrrowed in delight when it climbed onto her paw, lifting it in front of her face.

"Such an exciting day..." Amberstorm was reliving his entire day in his head. I can't believe i was so awkward back there! Well... actually both of us were pretty awkward. Most of the time he was reliving his day he was laughing.

As Maplefur stared at the ladybug, it stopped moving before suddenly taking off. She laughed as she watched it fly away, then laid down by the trunk of the tree. I wonder when Amberstorm's going to get back, she wondered drowsily. She laid her head down on her paws as she waited.

Amberstorm found his way back to the little clearing and saw Maplefur lying there "You tired there?" He chuckled and dropped down the vole infront of her "Ill let you have it, after all it is your favorite, right?"

Maplefur gave him a tired grin. "A bit," she eyed the vole. "Yeah, voles and rabbits... but it's your catch, we can share it. Besides, you did say you were hungry." She told him.

"Im not that hungry..." Amberstorm laid down next to her "And you don't want me worrying about you later, right?" He would probably regret that later but he was just caring for his loved one.
