Part of her mission to get herself out of her murky pool of self-pity was to start becoming a more active presence in the lives of the Clan's youth. Bravebird wasn't all that good with kids like Crowtooth was, or even Fallownose. She was rougher around the edges and perhaps even trained them too hard at times. But Fernpaw had taught her some valuable lessons on how to approach being a better mentor at least, so she would utilize those today.
Ducking her head into the mouth of the den, the lilac lynx-point allowed her eyes to adjust to the gloom. It wasn't all that full. "Any of you 'paws wanna go out for some training?" she called in, hoping to get at least one response.
Dovepaw had just been enjoying a nap as Bravebird had peeked her head into the apprentices den. They looked up, their eyes drowsy, and listened to the warriors words.
"Hrmmm? Oh. Uh sure, I'll go" his voice was laced with drowsiness but it was slowly leaving their voice as they started to wake up. Then, the apprentice slowly clambered to their feet in the den and started to walk towards Bravebird.

Winterpaw awoke blinking open his yellow eyes, feeling unexpectedly... well-rested. Not like he was usually tired, but right now he felt warm and content like he imagined a small kit would. The early spring nights were cold, the apprentice den often full, and of course his moss wasn't the most dry these days. Winterpaw didn't mind at all, though- as long as he was able to function the next day, his sleep was fine.
But why, this morning, did he feel so compelled to stay in his nest? What was the soft feeling of fur pressed against his back? Mustering up the energy to fully wake up (an unusual struggle for the apprentice), Winterpaw turned around, and...
Found the shape of another cat, presumably asleep right next to him. He jolted back from suprise, stumbling out of the nest and quickly looking around to see if anyone else was witness to this. Didn't look like it, but the empty bed right behind him was shaped suspiciously like his. Had Winterpaw... rolled out of his nest while he was sleeping? And into this one?
Winterpaw's pupils were narrowed into slits, purely out of shock, and his white fur was spiked up as well. "I...", he started, unsure how to inform the sleeping apprentice he had accidentally invaded their bedding. Maybe they just... wouldn't wake up? And would never know.
The early morning light was shifting into the den when Rainpaw awoke. He yawned and stretched, and as he prepared to leave, Cloudfur stuck his head into the den. "It'll be time for your training, soon, Rainpaw. Meet me at Sunset Grove when you're ready." Then Cloudfur was gone.

Six figures stood in front of her frozen body. One, Asterblink, two, Lynxyowl, three, Silentleap, four, Kataro, five, Asher, six, Wonder. One, two, three, four, five, six. Asterblink, Lynxyowl, Silentleap, Kataro, Asher, Wonder. They stared at her. All she could do was pitifully move her eyes. Why were they here? How were they here? She had watched each and every one of them leave her.
Something slammed against Maplepaw, and with a fierce jerk and the unsheathing of her claws, she jumped up. It took her a few moments to analyze the den. The sound of the swaying grass, the WindClanners, twigs being cracked under paws...
Then there was a voice. Her ears snapped away from the bustling outside. Then, her head slowly turned towards the speaker.
Oh, how pathetic.
"'I' what?" She gestured with rather vehement motion. She had also forgotten that her claws were still unsheathed. "You scare a woman from her sleep, and all you can say is 'I?'" Maplepaw wasn't actually feeling the fire that her paws were feeling. Actually, she felt calm. The apprentice had technically saved her from her.. nightmare.
But, y'know, she'll never admit that.
