Right so…. War. Again. Crowtooth wasnt the most pleased with the news, only the deranged or naive really longed for war, but he certainly wasnt going to shy away from it. The debacle of the meeting had shown the clan wasnt prepared, from apprentices screaming that they were scared and didnt know how to fight to others begging for peace unaware of the reality of clanlife. Cats would die whether windclan acted or not, the dead clanmates should at least get the dignity of not going down like prey, with claws and fangs bared like a warrior.
Windclan needed to be prepared, and so they needed to dust off their skills and sharpen their claws.


To do this, Crowtooth had recruited some help.

Whoooo-boy. Ok the yelling was needed to get some attention but maybe the volume was a bit much. Crowtooth was now temporarily bent over with a coughing fit as his throat burned. He’d probably scared some clanmates out of their fur too, his voice was scary without the tunneler using it to yell, broken gravelly and deep but yelling it was worse. So yeah, bad idea, the rest of the event would be talking only.


With one last cough the tom wheezed and flicked a paw to wave away any concerns. A gesture that quickly flicked to point at the mounds of ‘fake cats’ Crowtooth and Bravebird had created. The dummy cats were….. Clumsy, barley looking like cats being more of cat sized mounds of dirt with a poorly shaped head and a stick stuck in the other end to be a tail.
“Each group ‘s gonna be taught a new move ta their skill level (complete wit’ demonstration by me or Bravebird) an’ then get a moment to try ‘t. Yall can probably guess yer gonna be tryin’ ‘t out on the dummies, no harmin’ yer clanmates yer doin’ it claws out.
After we’ll give tips ‘f needed an’ move on ta show the next move.

Once again beginners wit’ me, ‘f youve had battle trainin’ before go to Bravebird. Git goin’.”

How this works:
This is a battle training event for both apprentices and warriors! It does count for your rank requirements~

• First Crowtooth or Bravebird will show off a battle move for cats to replicate on a training dummy.
• You will make a post with your cat attempting that move.
• Depending on which group you’re in me or birdie will roll a d20 to determine the outcome of your attempt!
• If its a 13 or over youve succeeded in the move first try! Under and you messed something up and failed.
• You can increase your chances of success by doing over 100 words (per character) of your cat attempting the move!
• This can be done by describing your cat practicing this move before attempting it, putting a new spin on the move, describing your cats thoughts on the move, anything!
• As long as you get over 100 words you’ll get an advantage roll! This means if you roll below 13 the d20 will be rolled again so you get a second chance at success!
• After these rolls the next move will be demonstrated and the formula will repeat!
• New moves will hopefully come every 48hrs and feel free to drop in or out whenever you please! Late comers are always welcome!

Most cats, if asked, would probably assume that Curlypaw had no interest in battle training. Anxious cats were often stereotyped as pacifistic or even cowardly, unwilling to lift so much as a claw to help a Clanmate in need.

While Curlypaw would certainly always be the type to advocate for peace, he knew enough to know that going through life without any clue on how to defend yourself was unwise. From predators to hungry outsiders to violent and volatile other-Clanners, there were plenty of creatures out there that could end his life quite quickly.

He wanted to give himself at least a fighting chance. Lavenderhaze hadn't yet taught him anything about fighting, so when Crowtooth called the inexperienced to him for training, the curly-furred apprentice had to heed the call.

Curlypaw padded over to sit near Crowtooth, eyeing the battle dummies that had been constructed for this event. At least there would be little risk for injury... he hoped.

Hawkfur trotted up to the assembling group his tail flicking nervously at the idea of having to train once more for war. Twilightstar's declaration of WindClan allying with ShadowClan in the coming battle made him uneasy, but he respected the leader, so ShadowClan it was.


Once Crowtooth had finished explaining the tasks, Hawkfur drifted towards Bravebird with a friendly wave of his tail. It had been a while since he had been an active fighter in a battle or skirmish, so he hoped this training would help him brush up on some skills or even teach him something new!


Hawkfur eyed the dummies created by Crowtooth and Bravebird, finding their misshapen forms a little unnerving. He could already tell he would be having a rather miserable time grooming himself later after all that mud dug its way into his fur.

Poppysong walks over, but their stride is odd. They place all of their weight on their right leg. Somewhere between a limp and a stumble. Eventually, they sit down, and they casually stretch out their back.

They look up at Crowtooth and smile. “I probably won’t participate, but I’d love to lend a paw or two.”

The apprentice lay on his side, his legs splayed out in front of him. Everything was quiet,
except the rustle of leaves and the chittering of his clanmates. The young tom felt peaceful. The memory of his old mentor, Berryfrost, faded into nothing as he started drifting away into slumber.

Whisperingpaw had barely gotten a moments rest before loud shouting shook him awake, his fur bristling in anger and fear. 'Was someone attacking?' His panic quickly died down as he realized everything was fine, some cat was setting up another event. Grumbling and shaking dust out of his fur, he padded over.

Bearpelt walked up to Bravebird. Learning some new moves couldn't hurt.

Birdpaw bounced up to... the warrior whose breathing and talking sounded funny. She couldn't remember his name. After arriving the small underaged four moon old hyperactive apprentice kept bouncing next to the warrior... for some reason. She meowed hi! She thought Woo-hoo! I'm gonna to learn how to FIGHT! BEST. DAY. EVER. This is gonna be SO MUCH AMAZING FUN! She yelled out at the top of her lungs BEASTIEPAW! COME ON OVER HERE CAUSE ONE OF THE WARRIORS IS HOLDING A FIGHTING TRAINING EVENT! @GhostlyStarfinder

Caterpillarpaw ran up to Crowtooth. The tiny six moon old thought YAY! I'm learning how to FIGHT! This is going to be fun!

Snakepaw headed over to Crowtooth sluggishly while stifling a yawn. The six moon old was exhausted because she hadn't been able to sleep well for two nights in a row because of it. Her breathing was heavy and raspy and her chest ached with dull pain. And the cold was making it even worse, which was why she hated the cold. At least it was late enough that her throat wasn't sore from last nights... incident anymore. Fortunately, this didn't sound like the type of fighting event that would have running because she couldn't run because of it. Well TECHNICALLY she COULD but running had had... unwanted consequences since she was about half a moon old. She was here because she knew that learning how to fight would be very useful. (She has asthma)

Foxpaw walked up to Crowtooth slowly on her three functioning legs, her twisted back leg held slightly off the ground. The underaged large four moon old apprentice knew that learning how to fight would be useful... and also might be fun. (All open)

She'd already done her battle training mostly, but if you asked Lichenpaw, there was never any hurt in more practice. Besides, just because she'd already had some training didn't mean she didn't know anything!! It would be good to learn from some of the more senior warriors!! Lichenpaw could practically taste the day she would get her name... tri-colored tail couldn't help lashing behind her in eager anticipation. She wanted to fight, to prove herself worthy and capable and the right fit for WindClan!! She could do it, she knows she can. With a confident swagger in her steps, the older apprentice approached Crowtooth, a fire burning in the one eye she could see out of... stars, her vision on the one side was practically all gone... faintly, the small calico recalled some moons ago when she could at least see a little bit out of that eye, now, though, her vision was practically gone there. Well, no matter, she wouldn't let that stop her from being one of WindClan's best up and coming warriors!
