Blossomshine was a kittypet, living in the twolegplace with her twolegs, upwalkers, housefolk. She hated there, but found becoming a loner too daunting, and she was scared she wouldn't survive on her own. That's when she heard
[Loner 1] talking to
[Loner 2] about the clans. Blossom, intrigued, went up to them and asked them about it, only to be turned away because she was a kittypet. They told her she had chosen her soft lifestyle and she wasn't strong enough to be in a clan. This wasn't true, as she had wandered away from WindClan as a kit, she was only trying to explore the forest. She had gotten lost, finally stopping to scream for help far away from WindClan. Twolegs found her and adopted her, forcing her to be tamed.
[Loner 1] and
[Loner 2] finally gave her directions to RiverClan, the closest clan to them, but told her she probably wouldn't make it there. Her old friend,
[Kittypet], didn't approve of her choice to become a clan cat.
[Kittypet] told her that she shouldn't join a clan because
[Kittypet] had heard rumors about the clan that said they murdered kittypets from
[Loner 1] and
[Loner 2].
Blossom was scared when she reached RiverClan, worried they would kill her. The cats there promised that nothing like that happened, andshe was relieved. Blossom was accepted into RiverClan and changed her name to Blossomshine, but she had to have a mentor to show her the ropes. Her mentor, Sunpelt, was kind to her and helped her, so she enjoyed being in RiverClan. There was only one thing that bothered her: the river. She was scared of how fast it flowed, and was worried she would fall into it and not be able to get out. She eventually learned to swim, but still steered clear of the river. One night, Blossomshine was sitting by the river, thinking that she should get over her fear.
While she was thinking by the river,
[Brokencreek] and
[Shatteredsun] approached her, asking her if she was the new kittypet. Blossomshine told them she used to be a kittypet, but her loyalty was to RiverClan. They made fun of her for being a kittypet, telling her she wasn't fit for clan life.
[Brokencreek] stepped closer to her, causing her to back up. When she did this, some of the ground broke off, causing her to slip and fall into the rushing river. Shocked,
[Brokencreek] and
[Shatteredsun] jumped into the river. They hadn't meant to hurt her physically, just 'put her in her place' as a kittypet. They pulled her out of the river, Blossomshine soaking wet.
Sobbing, Blossomshine ran away from them, going into the forest. She had a strong feeling of nostalgia, remembering that the last time she had aimlessly wandered into the forest, she had gotten lost and became a kittypet. There she met
[Cocoaheart, Berryfang, Ottersleek], who asked her what had happened. She told them, but left out the names of
[Brokencreek] and
[Shatteredsun], not wanting to get them into trouble, as they had saved her and hadn't meant to hurt her.
[Cocoaheart, Berryfang, Ottersleek] told her that they understood, and comforted her, telling her that she shouldn't be excluded because she was a kittypet. With those words in mind, Blossomshine went back to the warrior's den. From then on, her and
[Cocoaheart, Berryfang, Ottersleek] were best friends.
