"I know," Galahad said, finally sitting up with a groan. "I hear they often fight each other for territory, and a bunch of them die from those fights, or fights with larger animals. Not to mention the diseases..."

Joe nodded his head. "That's terrible. Cats always fighting each other. Why can't they just talk it out, work it out like normal cats." He never understood violence. It was so unnecessary. "They all ought to find some humans to take care of them"

"Well, there's a lot of them, and cats are territorial, as embarrassing as it is to admit it," Galahad pointed out.. "They were raised to fight and defend their.... clammates, I think?" He probably said it wrong, but whatever. "I mean, how would you feel if another cat kept invading your personal space and stealing your food? I'd be mad."

Joe shrugged. It wasn't like he knew the answer. To him, cats who lived in the wild were all idiots. There were plenty of humans that could adopt them if they chose to. "Why can't they all be friends, is what I'm wondering," he meowed aloud. "I guess I'd be mad. But, I'd try to talk to them about it first."

"Well, that's their business, not ours," Galahad yawned, stretching. "And besides, not all humans like or want cats. Some like dogs, birds, mice, and even spiders and snakes!"

"I'm glad I don't live out in the forest," Joe repeated. At his brother's next statement, he screwed up his eyes. "Ew! I hate spiders. There's this one room in my house that always has spiders in it. They're so big an nasty."

"I hear some spiders eat birds, too," Galahad hummed, ears twitching at his brother's squirming. "But, anyway, it's their life, so we shouldn't say anything about ut.

"Oh, stop, stop!" Joe flapped a paw in his direction. "Please stop!" He tried to think about other things other then bird-eating spiders, but the only thing he thought of were the snakes Galahad also mentioned.

"Oh, stop squirming," Galahad scolded gently, shaking his head at Joe. "Who knows? Maybe your housefolk might get interested in getting them..." he said, a small smile appearing on his face. This was almost too much fun, watching his brother squirm.
