Ember was walking around in the forest. He was thinking of hunting, but he didn't want to.
He sat down.

Snow was hunting a brown rabbit.She saw what looked to be dark orange through the bushes,
she knew that wasn't the rabbit, but she pounced anyway.

Ember yelped as Snow pounced on him.

"Sorry Ember." Snow meowed.

Ember said nothing and walked away.

Smokepaw lazily stretched in the pretty much empty apprentice den. It was nice having all this room to herself, but it was awfully lonely. The vacant, brittle fern nests scattered about around her sure didn't help it. She can't wait for Blossomkit to move in once she becomes an apprentice. But that's still within the next moon or so.

(People already signed up for two other kits though, so I wouldn't expect the Icekit to be the only living kit.)

Minkstep sat, his tail twiching. He got up then walked to Bramblefrost. "How are you, my love?" He asked, licking her nose.

Bramblefrost purred, nuzzling Minkstep's shoulder lovingly, "I'm okay...Waiting for food..." She batted her eyes teasingly at him.

Fernstar heard Smokepaw and lifted the corners of her mouth, "Of course you may go on patrol with us. We need all the cats we can get. If you all want to head off now, I'll stay back with Bramblefrost this time."

Rabbitfoot padded out of the camp, sending his sister a gentle look. He knew she was very kind, but it was especially nice for her to stay behind to make sure Bramblefrost was not alone, when she was always stuck in camp.

"whew done!" He looked over his work he was ready for anything! This took me forever! He now took the opportunity to go outside away from the bitter smell of herbs. He looked out into the world of red gold and orange colors which so nicely colored the trees. The grass was dry and crinkled under his paws. "Hello Fernstar, Bramblefrost, Smokepaw, Rabbitfoot, Minkstep! Are you going out to patrol or hunt?" He looked toward them hoping that they would hunt. He was starving now he should have eaten that mouse he was offered earlier but new prey would taste better than the old prey maybe he could get one that was still warm if he was lucky enough.
