"When they jump at you, you dive under so they jump over you. And make sure you tuck in your tail so they can't grab it." Hawkleap explained, rolling her eyes at Orchidpaws response. "You try, I'll jump. 3..2..1!" Hawkleap said as she leaped off the ground and towards Orchidpaw.

Orchidpaw felt a little hurt that her mentor didn't want to put up with her curiosity and clumsiness, but she didn't show it. She crouched down, preparing her leap, and jumped at Hawkleap, trying to land on her back.

Hawkleap dived under Orchidpaw, tucking her tail in. The tabby ended up behind the apprentice.

Orchidpaw was confused for a moment before thinking of what happened, but when she turned around, it was too late for her to strike a next attack.
