Dawnfern sat out in the territory, soaking up what sun she could find. Her long fur kept her warm from the cool breeze, something she was thankful for. Her ears perked up as she scented cat, but she couldn't tell who. Oh well, she'd be fine. She moved her head to clean the new scar on her shoulder, wincing with the pain. Stupid Frostbreeze... And cats said she was annoying. "You'll regret it, you fox-heart," she muttered angrily. "Go to hell, Frostbreeze. I'll meet you there." She kicked a stone, hearing it bounce off a tree.

Where had life went wrong? Maybe it Blizzardpaw getting paralyzed. Maybe it was him disappearing. Maybe it was Frostbreeze's stupidity. Maybe it was constant tug of loneliness on her heart, telling her to go make friends. But she couldn't move on. No. Not until he came back for her. No one could replace the love of her life.

She looked longingly in the direction of the ShadowClan border, hoping she'd pick up scent of Blizzardpaw, or hear his voice. But no. Nothing. Silence.

Emptiness.
