After Beastflame discovered both Mistycloud and Mintpaw mercilessly attacked by three minks, Pikestar has decided to lead a small, but strong group of RiverClan warriors out to locate the nest and exterminate these savage pests, ridding it from their territory for good. While he has no personal experience with minks, the Lord of the Waters knows that they can be quite the problem if they are not immediately dealt with. Minks are well-known to be very active, and highly aggressive. They are excellent swimmers, and can climb trees without any issue. These animals are no laughing matter, and could easily kill RiverClan cats, especially the young, elderly and the weak, due to them harboring bacterial and parasitic diseases. Pikestar sees it as a large threat and wants them gone now.

After doing some research, I've deducted that the patrol, if organized and skilled enough, could flush the minks out of their burrow and kill them. It will be one hell of a fight, and the RiverClan leader knows the danger, but he also knows that if they chased the minks out, then they'd simply just come back later down the line. Minks can be hunted, and eaten like normal prey, so on top of them eliminating a notable predator that endangers anyone who dares to step out of camp, they would also bring more meat to their prey pile to feed the rapidly-growing clan. It's something worth fighting for in his own opinion, and he believes many warriors in RiverClan would agree.

Now then, regarding the details of the patrol, Pikestar is looking to take only four warriors with him, which means no apprentices or his shields shall be allowed on this particular venture. He is not looking to get an apprentice killed out there, and he wishes to see this patrol of warriors in action for a potential promotion possibly for one of them in the near future. I will make it known right from the start that nothing is set in stone, and there is a chance that nothing special will come out of the patrol's participants if Pikestar is not impressed by their performance. The main goal of this mission is to exterminate the minks who have attacked two of RiverClan's own, and make sure they will bring no further threat to their territory. With that being said, we can get onto the application requirements.

There will be four different RiverClan warriors hand-picked personally by Pikestar to accompany him on this expedition. They must be strong, and fast, preferably trained well enough to fight and not do anything reckless. Age does not matter to Pikestar, and there is a chance that he will bring a young warrior on this patrol to test their skill, but for the most part, the tall clan leader is looking for fierce, toughened cats that can work together on a team to protect RiverClan and bring home a worthy catch to dispose into the prey pile.

I want to offer Raccoonpelt for this whole plot
I have plenty of reasons and I'll name them here

- Raccoonpelt is a pretty skilled experienced fighter thanks to his shc orgins while knowing not to be stupid and reckless
- I think this would be a good opportunity for him to prove his loyalty to the clan and earn more of his clanmates trust
- As you know I plan for him to become a possible shield and maybe this would help him get pushed in the direction
- And this last reason is more a joke but A FlintRaccoon Kit is gonna be named Minkkit and it's totally just fate

After his chat in the leader's den with Pikestar, Beansprout is more determined than ever to throw himself into his duties. Not only is he an experienced cat, but he's invigorated with a newfound determination and love for his Clan. What he lacks in claws he makes up with other honed battle skills; he knows how to use his teeth for a lethal blow without risking his own neck. He is an expert at using his powerful back legs and claws in combat. He has learned to adapt to the smallest changes in battles -- that is, after all, how he's survived this long. Do not underestimate this small, seemingly weak RiverClan warrior. Beneath his gentle demeanor lies a strong-willed, tough feline.

Beansprout would be more than willing to protect his Clan by taking on the minks with Pikestar and three other brave warriors.
