Glowingkit peered down at Lavenderkit as her sister's voice joined her own. However, the other tortoiseshell remained on the mossy ground instead of assisting Glowingkit in her attack on Irisflower's ear. Movement caught her attentions and she turned slightly, her mother's ear still clamped between her small jaws, to look at her brother. Songbirdkit had simply curled in tighter, though, and he didn't look like he was up to annoying their mother. Finally, Irisflower awoke and Glowingkit crowed triumphantly through the fur of her mother's ear, kneading the older cat's fur with her paws expectantly. After a mumbled noise, Irisflower started shaking her head and Glowingkit squealed as she tumbled down into the moss. The small tortoiseshell regained her footing and stuck her tongue out playfully at Irisflower. As her mother attended to her other siblings, Glowingkit got an idea. Always the instigator, Glowingkit slunk towards the edge of the nest. Peeking behind her to ensure Irisflower was still focused on the others, Glowingkit unsheathed her small claws. The kit had to stop herself from giggling in delight as she climbed out of the nest, wobbling a bit but managing to make it to the other side, where she managed to land on her paws. Irisflower's question reminded her of her dream in which cats had wings and flew around like birds, and she mewed, "I did!" Before realizing that speaking would give away her position to her mother. Glowingkit cursed silently, though she knew no curses, and made a break for it. However, she wasn't quite the best at directions yet, and had no idea which way she was running, if that's what it could be called. Her legs were short and her 'running' could be better described as scrambling.

Lavenderkit did look over toward her brother when he stirred, but she expected him to just curl back up of course - And she was right. Songbirdkit wasnt much for moving or talking, Lavenderkit knew. She was okay with that, though. Less noise the better. But Lav loved her brother, and she loved to spend time with him, even if he preferred being alone most of the time. That was okay, though, everyone liked their alone time, right? Lavenderkit offered Songbird a brilliant smile before looking back up at her mother, ears pricking up when she saw Iris was awaking. She giggled when Glowingkit was gently shaken off of Irisflower, whiskers quivering as she shot her sister a playful glance. When her mother nuzzled her, Lav gave a purr, reaching up to nose Iris' cheek.

"I did, too." Lavenderkit shot Glowingkit a curious glance when her sister took off running, well, scrambling, but then just shrugged it off and looked back up at her mother. "Can we go to the clearing?" She mewed, standing up and stepping back to allow Irisflower to stand. She glanced down at her other sisters for a moment, deciding to let her mother awaken them. Honestly she was surprised that Glowingkit hadnt woken them up with her yelling and stepping on them yet.

And, he was about to speak about it until Lavenderkit asked her question. Ah, yes. The clearing! This made the young tom get up, swishing his tail with twitching excitement. "Can we, momma? Can we!?" Getting out the nursery was a yes to him! He didn't want to be crowded in here. He wanted to be...out there. Exploring. Bothering the small creatures. He wasn't hungry, but he figured he would eat as long as he was able to stretch his legs. He began to brush against his mother, purring in a way that he hoped--oh, how he hoped, she would take them into the clearing. Songbirdkit was that type to constantly stray away from the group when anything catches his attention. Though he knew he should stay next to his mother. Danger lurked around every corner. Even above.

Thinking of exploring the clearing made the tom forget his abnormal dream. It was something...hard to explain. Anyone he told it to, wouldn't believe that he had such a dream. But dreams were dreams. Or, was it a nightmare? Picturing blood on a cat's splayed wide paws wasn't a dream, was it? Songbirdkit shook his head, taking himself back to the presence as he stared at Glowingkit as she tried to scramble away. Though, he ran after her, stopping at the mouth of the den, wishing to step out into the opening. Maybe, he'd even get to see his father. Being around so many she cats made Songbirdkit feel that he was missing out on something of being a tom. No offense, but he loved his mother and sisters more than words could say, and actions could show.

It was a miracle that she had been able to sleep through not one, but two of her siblings tramping over her, one stepping on her paw, the other stepping gently enough on her head, but nothing in the world would wake Gentlekit from her dream.
'Why yes Mr.Dragonfly! I do want to go on an adventure with you!' Grinning brightly at the dragonfly that was just as big as she was, she'd jump onto it's back. The four winged creature would take off into the sky, carrying Gentlekit high into the sky, above the forest, above the territories and into a land of clouds. Birds flew in flocks below them and the sun shone warmly above. Wonder filled her eyes as she took in the sights, her heart soaring just as high as her and the dragonfly were at the moment. Then they were swooping down to just above the canopy, the kitten sticking her paw out to gently graze it across the tops of the trees that almost seemed to move like a sea and seconds later it did turn into a big sea. The water shimmering green and then blue, Gentlekit drawing her paw back in wonder as she watched it blur by beneath them. She caught glimpses of fish beneath the surface, fish with jewels for scales and feathers for fins. 'Do you even know where you're going Mr. Dragonfly?' she questioned with a giggle as the giant insect began to veer for the sky again. 'Of course I do, we dragonflies always know where to go!' replied the creature. The sea turned into mountains, big mountains with snow caps and yet she wasn't cold. A beautiful sight, one that she would never forget and hope to see again in her other dreams. 'Wow... This place is so-
The scenery faded to black as Gentlekit felt a nudge, her eyes fluttering open to reveal a fuzzy sight. "-pretty... Huh..?" Swiping her paws over her eyes with a stifled yawn, she would try again to take her surroundings into account before realizing it had all been a dream. She was back in the nursery with her siblings and mother, her mother was waking her and her other sister up, it seems they were the last to do so. "Food time?" Mewled the she-cat in that gentle, happy voice of hers, her blue eyes shimmering as she looked up at Irisflower. Another yawn escaped her and this time she could feel the twinge in her stomach that signified hunger.
Slowly sitting up, she'd hear her siblings ask if they could go into the clearing at which caused her to blink and look expectantly up at their mother, quietly voicing her own desire to go into the clearing as well and not quite catching the question about their dreams and whether they were good or not. Already hers was fading to the back of her mind.
"I-I wouldn't mind going to the clearing!"

A large ginger tom made his way over to the nursery, poking his head through the entrance. He strained to push his whole body through, due to his broad and muscular stature. After a little wiggling and pushing, Marbledflare finally made his way through the small gap. "They really should think about fathers when they design these entrances." He growled, flicking his tail with annoyance. The tom then cats his eyes over the young lots on the nursery. He hadn't been to see his own kits for a while, the only times he'd seen them was when they were first born, and then about seven sunrises ago, the most recent time. The mother of the kits, Irisflower, and him had a strained relationship. The large tom personally felt an emotion towards her, but he was never sure if it was actually love. And she didn't appreciate his charm that just attracted other felines. So Marbledflare had dubbed her a bit jealous. Of course this was in his mind. The two weren't so sure of each other. They were friends, but having kits together had ruined that relationship. Marbledflare knew the only way the two of them could ever be friend again was if they were more than friends. If anyone could understand that.
The large marbled tabby's eyes caught sight of his kits, all five of them. Two were at his paws, seemingly wanting to go out into the clearing. The other three were still near their mother. "Hi my little glow-girl." He greeted his daughter Glowingkit, flicking her kindly with his tail. "And to you to Songster." He meowed to his only son, nudging him slightly. "Now where's the rest of the crew?" He purred, looking at his three other kits with a playful gleam in his eye. "Lav-Lav? Genti? Chershies?"

Irisflower, while attending to her other kittens, didn't notice at first that Glowingkit had wandered away from the nest. When her kitten spoke though, it was a dead give-away that she was further away than Irisflower would like; she was always the one that seemed to get herself in trouble lately.
The queen sat up now that Cherrykit was the only was who hadn't woken up, needing a higher position to be able to keep all kit within her watchful gaze. However, she was careful not to jostle dark calico kitten too much when she moved; this movement would certainly wake her up though if she wasn't awake already.
"Glo, if you want to go to the clearing then you'll have to stay close to me." She meowed, forcing herself not to make a move to go retrieve her. The queen knew that bribing would work better, especially when she bribed with something that she already had had planned.
She turned her gaze slightly back to Lavenderkit, but kept Glowingkit in the edges of her line of vision to make sure the kitten didn't wander out of the nursery. She honestly looked like she was heading in that direction, but if Glowingkit really did get close enough Iris would be forced to go get her. But, she'd like to think her kitten was smarter than that. Listening to Lavenderkit, she waited to answer the young she-kit's question, knowing that it was going cause a domino effect within her others. And, just as she predicted, the question was echoed by a now-excited Songbirdkit, and then rephrased a bit by a now-very-awake Gentlekit.
However, even though she had things basically handled, the mother began to look a little bit more stressed as Songbirdkit ran after Glowingkit, but was thankful he didn't disappear out of the entrance and knew better to stop. She was a little over her head with all of these little ones, but still wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Just then, Marbledflare wiggled himself into nursery, and Irisflower was instantly relieved. He honestly couldn't have picked better timing. She was struck for a moment by his handsomeness, especially as he stared lovingly at two of his kittens; and she was reminded why she liked him so much. Of course, he still had his faults like any other cat, and she was still trying to accept that. Their relationship was a bit strained because of this, but they usually made it work for their children.
"Okay, well... we can go into the clearing if you can convince daddy to help me look after you guys..." She mewed softly, her voice already filled with amusement as she stared over at Marbledflare. It was her way of indirectly asking for his help without giving it away to the litter.

Glowingkit flattened her ears at the sound of Irisflower's voice, but instead of scolding her for leaving the nest, her mother bargained. "Okay!" Glowingkit chirped, "I'll behave! Promise, you won't be able to get rid of me! I'll be sooooooo close." The she-kit continued on, trying very hard to get her mother to take them out into the clearing. The young molly had no idea that that was her mother's intentions all along. The kit bounced by the entrance to the nursery and smiled at Songbirdkit as her brother joined her. Just then, her father entered the den, showering the kits by the entrance in small pieces of debris as he squeezed through the too-small entrance. "Daddy!" Glowingkit squealed as Marbledflare called her by a nickname. She rubbed up against his ginger legs and purred happily. Marbledflare hadn't been in to visit for what seemed like moons to the young cat and she missed him. Glowingkit was a bit of a daddy's girl and liked to play with the ginger warrior. Obviously, she adored her mother too and loved spending time with her and her siblings, but she couldn't help wanting to be like her father and wanting him to notice her. At her mother's words, Glowingkit jumped up and down and put her paws on Marbledflare's leg, begging "Please, daddy!"

Lavenderkit smiled in amusement as her brother got up in excitement to go out into the clearing. The tortoiseshell remained where she was, however, her bright green eyes fixed intently on her mother's face, waiting for the response. However her attention was easily drawn to her father as she smelled his familiar scent when Marbledflare entered, and her green eyes lit up. She waited for him to address the others before purring out her own reply; "Hi, Daddy!" Lavender wasnt a "Daddy's Girl", but she wasnt a "Mother's Girl" either. She was neutral, loved them both equally. The young kit cast a look to her mother when Irisflower spoke up again, and flicked an ear, almost in agreement. Her siblings were pawfuls, but Lav would probably stick close to one of her parents instead of running off. After all she didnt want to annoy any warriors.

Lavenderkit didnt move from the nest, staying near Irisflower, but she did look up to smile at her father again. "He'll help watch t- Us." She quickly corrected herself. Them. She said silently in her mind, knowing she wouldnt really need watching at all. Lavenderkit wasnt the type of kit to run off and cause trouble. She was probably the most well-behaved. "Right Daddy?"

Songbirdkit stayed at the entrance of the nursery den. Oh, he longed to be out of this place. To feel the breeze coursing through his thickening pelt. But, all too soon his father had made it into view, wriggling his giant size through the entrance. Now, Songbirdkit was quite a large kitten, but he hadn't grown to be the size of Marbledflare...yet. It must had been complicated that the large ginger tom couldn't fit through most things. Did Songbirdkit really wanna grow to be that size? Perhaps...maybe, it wouldn't be so bad. Height was everything. Height meant power. Maybe...just maybe. As his dad greeted them, Songbirdkit felt him nudge him, and the tom gave a small smile. He knew his father...but he didn't know him. Marbledflare hadn't visited them in a while. In those missing moons, Songbirdkit couldn't wait to spend time with his dad. He wanted to have that close bond. That 'male' bonding time, but now that his dad was actually here? Songbirdkit felt all those fantasies push to the back of his mind. It occurred to him that he wouldn't know much about his dad. Let alone spending time with him, but brushing those thoughts aside, he simply gaze at the large tom until his mother started to speak. If Marbledflare came with them...then they could go out into the clearing. They would be able to frolic around, and explore. And, only if Glowingkit would be obedient. Songbirdkit had snickered, but he felt himself glowing. He wanted to go out. He wanted to get some fresh air. He wanted to jump after butterflies, or analyze the dead prey that the warriors' caught. The looks of it fascinated the young tom to no end! Just staring at the punctures and the way the prey would be limply dead. All sorts of weird things he had been attracted to, and being inside this nursery? Kept him from exploring the outside world. The gore and horrors of reality. But, he didn't say anything. Returning to his silence. All the other kits were practically asking their father to tag alone, but Songbirdkit didn't care either way. Of course, he wanted his father to tag along. But, what if their dad was busy? He only got to see them every couple moons. Instead, he just waited on the sidelines to see if anyone else wanted in. He just hoped everyone did. It was too beautiful and nice outside to be wasting time in this place.

While most of her attention was focused on Irisflower, quietly willing her mother to agree to all of them taking a trip out into the clearing for the first time, part of her attention was focused on the emotions around her, of her siblings and mother. Everyone seemed to be happy and excited in their own way so in turn, Gentlekit could feel that growing in her as well, pushing sleepiness away.
Now the young ginger kit wasn't one to abandon the side of her mother, but she did kind of want to follow after Glowingkit. Even Songbirdkit was near the entrance of the nursery instead of right by Irisflower. Slowly standing up onto her somewhat stiff limbs, she would look at the two siblings that were farther away, trying to decide what she wanted to do. And just as she almost decided to pad away from her mother and Lavenderkit to join them, she was halted in her tracks, eyes widening as she watched a rather large tom try and squeeze through the particularly small entrance to the nursery. She wasn't scared, but she was unsure and instead remained by her mother to wait until the tom made it through. Tilting her head, she began to recognize who the tom was and once he started calling out their nicknames one by one, she was completely sure. Grinning in pure, innocent excitement, the little she-kit that seemed to resemble Marbledflare the most came tumbling over in her excitement. "Daddy! I'm here, I'm here!" Mewled out the young kit in excitement, nearly bumbling into Glowingkit as she ran over, but was able to stop herself just in the nick of time, her head peering up at her father with sparkling blue eyes. While she hadn't got to know him as much as she's known her siblings and mother, she couldn't help herself but grow attached to him, just like any cat that shows her love and kindness, she sort of clings to them. The emotions they give off made her happy and warm inside, something that she always wanted to feel.
Suddenly her attention was brought to her mothers words, Gentlekit gasping quietly, a sound almost like the coo of a dove, her eyes widening to look back at Irisflower before looking right back up at Marbledflare. What a bargain!
"We'll make it easy for you daddy, we'll be good, I swear! Right guys? We won't get into trouble, it'll be super easy to watch us!" Gentlekit mewed in her quiet voice, putting on the cutest face she could muster as she circled around one of his front paws.
I want to go out and see all of the other cats.. Maybe, maybe we'll get to see the deputy, or leader! Or maybe I can play with a dragonfly! I hope he says yes, I really really want to go out into the clearing. There were so many things that Gentlekit was interested in seeing and while she normally didn't get worked up over these things, she couldn't help but be excited because everyone else was excited. And just like every other emotion, it sort of rubbed off on her.

"Sounds great! Actually, anything sounds great right now. You can be the warrior. Now close your eyes and I'll hide." He meowed hastily before dashing off. He weaved in and out of nests, jumped over a few and then eventually hide in the back of the den, buried deep in shadows and moss.

Beachkit successfully stifled a snicker of laughter. His pale green eyes, those so much like his fathers glinted out of his hiding spot in the darkness. He stole a glance over the nest he was hiding in to see Poolkit's tail disappear.
