Wormbite patrolled through Haven Springs.

Ah, Wormbite was here. Creeping through the evergreen, his tail tip twitching back and forth. Eager to catch something to bring back for Riverclan - even if he had been patrolling. It was becoming a bit of a habit. Patrol, hunt, and then patrol. His time outside camp had become.. more frequent, if he had to confess.

A squirrel eagerly nibbled at a fresh acorn that must have fallen. It was lush around these parts, and specifically warm with the springs. Wormbite's ears listened closely, not wishing to startle the creature and flee up a nearby tree. It was caught up in its gnawing, its bushy tail wagging back and forth - creating the sound of leaf rustling that made it all the easier for Wormbite to locate.

Despite his lack of sight, his senses were very attuned. .. That did nothing for his surroundings, unfortunately. There was a loud crunch - he felt a twig crush below his paw. The snapping of a squirrel and he was darting forward, pushing off the ground. (Face grimaced in pain at the lift-off.)

Claws caught onto the tail and the Shield tugged it forward, delivering a swift killing bite.

He would bury it and continue to patrol the nearby area. Only when Wormbite finished did he collect it and return back to camp.

Nightspark walked in the Haven Springs, there wasn't any sents outside of the RiverClan's one, so it was completely clear, he walked in, searching for herbs, his patrolmate didn't showed up, he started to mumble some Starclan litanies he knew, while searching herbs... He was perking his ears at every sound around him, but he bunked in a tree and heard a 'BZZZZ', his heart raced, bees, his worst nightmare, he backed up very fast, mumbling litanies with a terrified voice, and made a huge detour to avoid the tree with the bee nest on it, he continued his route, calming himself down and continuing to search for herbs...

Nightspark found a pack of poppies, so it was all good! He took the seeds and left the poppies, it was time to return to the camp!

Silverscale trotted off the old twoleg bridge, approaching one of the springs. She slowly waded into the shallower edge, letting the water run through her stomach fur.

To be honest, Beansprout didn't mind Otterslash taking the lead. He wouldn't argue, not one bit. If that was what she wanted, so be it; he knew to pick his battles. Right now, they had a common purpose; hunting. At last, they arrived at Haven Springs and Beansprout wasted no time in giving a cordial, albeit tense, nod toward Otterslash before gesturing for Smokepaw to follow him.

"There's not a lotta water prey around here, so here I can give you the basics of land hunting. Or, if you already know, this could be a good refresher," He added hastily, realizing he had yet to ask the apprentice what she needed trained on. He would do that later, he vowed. Beansprout lifted his muzzle to the sky, mouth parted and searching for scents. Aha, there was a water vole snuffling around some shrubbery! Without a sound, the tom swiftly leapt up and landed atop the creature, killing it instantly with a sharp jab of his clawless paw. "The key for land hunting is to make sure the prey doesn't sense you. It's a whole lot more sensitive to noise than fish, as well as even vibrations in the ground!" Beansprout quickly hushed his voice to a whisper as he sensed a mouse. The perfect training prey. "Smell that?" he asked, angling his ears in the direction of the creature. "Mice are pretty easy to catch, but you gotta be careful of your steps. They're sensitive to vibrations in the ground. It's in a bushy area, though, so I think you'll be all good. Plenty of spots to sneak up on it. You've got this," Beansprout finished with a soft rumbling purr. After this, he would try to track another piece of prey before heading back.

A golden fleeced cat with an orange tabby pattern.

The warrior once arriving almost immediately split from the other cats in her patrol. Hearing for anything that could be some type of prey she let her ears, and nose do the work. Otter wasn’t very good at find prey but she was a beast at taking it down. The shecat saw something dart past her brown eyes and ran after it. Pouncing on what she thought to be a bird, turned out to be a small vole.

Shrugging, as prey was prey, taking her “haul” back to the other two patrolmates she had this almost angry look on her face. Her tail whisking back and forth. If Bean was going to try to train this apprentice it was going to be a long day.
