After a few moments the she cat turned and crouched but did not pounce only stay in the crouched position.
Stormpaw stood she prepared her body to be hit when her mentor pounced. But, her mentor could pounce where Stormpaw would be, or where she was at the present moment. Storm paw didn't know which Tulipsoul would do, so she prepared herself for both. She kept her never moving gaze where it was.
Piketooth: "True... but flattery gets you no where, you need to act, sometimes you dont have time to think!"
Just as Piketooth finished he knocked her off of her paws
(Remember she's soon to grad--be warriored? ...She's soon to have her warriors ceremony.)
She yelped but managed not to fall, then launched herself at him.

Suddenly she jumped up and ran behind Stormpaw then she aimed a pounce and after a few moments she launched herself at her apprentice.

Before Tulipsoul hit the ground she twisted in the air and used her hind legs kicking Stormpaw in the side with as much force she could muster.
Stormpaw stumbled and fell on her side.
That was a good blow, she had to admitt. Stormpaw scrambled to her paws, still breathing heavily, the dark gray tabby bunched her muscles. She looked at her mentor, and then pounced.

The molly hit the ground quite hard but managed to get up quickly enough to move out of the way from Stormpaw, her breath was quick and her paws felt sore from the landing.

Stormpaw spun around to face her mentor again. This time, Stormpaw lunged at her mentor,
she didn't pounce. She raked a paw over Tulipsoul's flank, and then moved behind her, and then to her other side.
