Mistypaw's one amber eye settled on the cats that were currently relaxing in the clearing. She was pretty concerned for some cats in the clan and for RiverClan's general shape, although she was sure Birdsnow would build it back up to how great it had formerly been. Assisting her friend had never been a problem to her, so she decided to host a little event today. Maybe it would help RiverClan gain some more prey and also help apprentices with their training. She was still technically an apprentice and all that, but she was basically assesment ready, she just needed the next clan meeting to happen. Her lips parted and she let a little sigh escape before making her way over to the base of the Floodstone. She hoped a few warriors would join in on the fun and maybe they could make a little competition out of it, seeing who caught the most fishes.

The late apprentice cleared her throat, then let her voice ring sharply through the clearing. "Apprentices and warriors of RiverClan! With all of the focus on battle and herbs, the prey stock has been pretty low. Join me here and we'll be heading out for some fishing, maybe make a little competition out of it. Doesn't matter if you know how to fish or not, I'll show you! I know it's leafbare, but that can't mean we don't fish! The clan still needs prey," she called out. Hopefully her efforts would be appreciated and she wouldn't be having to head out with only 5 cats in the end.

With a flick of her tail Mistypaw gestured for the assembled cats to follow her into the territory, where they'd stop at the river.

[ HOW THIS WILL WORK:

– For cats who have not had water hunting training yet, Mistypaw will tell them to gather with her and she'll correct them on their stance and movement until they are ready to start fishing in the river. It will count towards their apprentice training even though Misty is an apprentice teaching it, I confirmed this with poppy!

– For cats who already know how to fish, they'll start the fishing immediately after my next event post. I will always roll a 20-sided die to see how successful they are. under 10 meaning fail, over 10 meaning success. for posts with 100+ words the die will be rolled twice and the higher roll will be regarded.

– In the end there will be a winner chosen for the cats who had to learn how to fish first and the cats who already knew it. Winner will be who has the most fish. They may get a little ic prize from Misty, along with each winner getting 1,500 kk from me.

– My next post will be on the 22/02, maybe earlier if there’s enough participants. Please do not mention or quote me!! ]

Toadpaw joined. The blind apprentice hadn't learned how to fish yet and the almost eight moon old apprentice knew that learning would be very useful... And not for RiverClan. The only reason she gave even a mouse-tail what happened to RiverClan was because she couldn't become leader if there was no RiverClan to lead. If it wasn't for that everyone in RiverClan could die and sh wouldn't care. She wasn't allowed to care. No matter how nice.. Toadpaw stop that! No caring allowed! Only weaklings care! You are not a weakling! Yelled Toadpaw at herself in her mind, making sure not to show any outside hints of what was happening in her brain.

Amberwing padded over, quick and excited to help. Everything was finally getting back to how it should be.

Seeing the cats of the Clan coming together to host so many events recently was great to see. It did a bit to restore some of Fadingsun's lost faith in his Clan. Upon hearing Mistypaw's call, he padded over to join.

The pure white tom perked up as he heard Mistypaw’s call. He wasn’t doing much of anything when he heard her, mainly just grooming himself in the Clearing (a common task to maintain the cleanliness of his thick pelt) and stood up, padding over to the apprentice. It was a nice day, sure it was snowy, but all days were in leafbare, plus fishing would be productive and beneficial to the Clan.

Bunnytuft was impressed with the amount of events hosted recently, especially by apprentices. It was nice that young cats cared so much about the Clan and were trying to get involved. With all the recent chaos happening in RiverClan the last thing they needed was lazy and apathetic Clanmates.

Seabreeze sighed to himself under his breath as he slowly breathed in the air, anxiety has been prickling at his pelt lately and as more and more time passes he finds himself receding more and more into his mind. The tom took a moment to watch the camp as his clan mates went to and fro in their lives, did they feel the same raising water threatening their lungs?

A sharp voice caught his attention before he could spiral any further and Seabreeze turned his attention to the noise with twitching ears. Mistypaw was standing at the base of the Floodstone...a...hunting competition? The tom found himself liking the idea, and by the way cats came flocking to Mistypaw so quick, his clanmates felt the same.

Perhaps, he hummed a pleasant little tune to himself, tail lightly swaying behind him as he stood and made his way to the growing little crowd, This could be a dandy little distraction from his growing unease.

While Seabreeze doesn't think of himself as a competitive cat, he'd certainly have fun with everyone anyways, and help his clan while doing it.

(Notes: Seabreeze is my first character, and this is my first rp post, so please be patient with me and please feel free to give me suggestions or correct me on anything! I also have no idea how hunting works besides the dice, but I can learn from others' posts )
