Stagheart finally lost his balance as the mother beaver thrashed him off, ever more enraged by his Clanmates' swipes.

[Roll = 14 | Barely Success!]

He managed to tuck into a roll as he hit the ground, mitigating the impact of being thrown off. Just barely; it was sloppy, but it got the job done. Springing to his feet, he noted that Caveclaw had gone after the beaver kit, nodding for her to continue. As long as it didn't get away, they wouldn't need to worry about going to find it somewhere else.

He launched himself back at the beaver mother, but she took one hefty swipe of her tail to knock him back. The breath was taken from him as he hit the ground in dull pain, letting out a snarl of frustration. How did he let himself get so sloppy? And why in StarClan's name were these gross creatures so strong?

Still not defeated in mind or spirit, the large tom got to his feet, his breathing still not regulated (and his head a little foggy) as he tried again.

With satisfaction, his claws tore into the beaver's pelt as he lunged for her neck. With his teeth sinking into the stinky fur, he felt the beaver's body weakening from under his claws. It let out its strange noises of pain as it continued to thrash, but he somehow held on, sinking in deeper.

He turned his head and spat out dark blood and fur onto the ground as he was shaken off yet again. "This one's goin' down... one of you, go help Caveclaw, the kit's tryna get away!" He called out to Splashgaze and Snowstripe. "The other, help me take 'er down for good!"

Caveclaw, as instructed, continued against the beaver kit. The kit squealed with an attempt to bite her.
Roll 18=Success
She managed to dodge the bite, letting out another hiss at the kit's attempt. They attempted to get a good leap and bite out of the kit's neck.
Roll 14=success
She managed to successfully break the skin of the young beaver's neck, before it flung them off.
Roll 13=success
Caveclaw barely managed to land on her feet. They could manage by themsef for a little longer, but she would need help soon.

Cleaning some blood off of his nose, Duskleaf sat listening to Skyfall’s plan. Had to be better than what he’d just done. "Hmm we could try that." He said, then padded off to find some rocks. When Duskleaf got back, he noticed that Skyfall had taken some slight damage to his eye, but otherwise the plan seemed to be working. He ran towards one of the gopher holes and pelted a rock into it as hard as he could, it took a few hits but the burrow eventually did cave in, and Duskleaf stood in anticipation at the side of it, waiting for the tiny creature to come darting out of there. When it did, he swept it up with his claw and swiftly killed it. He picked it up and padded over to where he'd left the first gopher he’d killed, and then dropped it there. "Got one!" He declared.

Cherryswirl took another big scoop of mud out with her paw, watching as some more water finally began to trickle through. Finally! Her paws were absolutely covered. Casting a gaze upwards towards Mudsmoke and Minnowsplash, she called out loudly,

"We got some moving water down here! Careful up there! If we keep this up, we'll have the river moving in no time - I think. If you got stuff moving up there, come help us dig!" And back to work she went, scooping out another icky, muddy section of ground with her paws.

The Gentle Giant

Bearsnout watched with focused and intense blue eyes as Pigeonpelt rushed towards the beaver and got its attention. A grin spread upon his face as he watched Pigeonpelt begin their assault. Then Morningmimic jumped in. “Yes! Good job!” He howled as he sprang out of his hiding spot, launching himself into the fight.

Bearsnout joins The Battle!

“Hey! Can you both go for the flank and the back! I’ll go for his face!” He yowled mid-fight, attacking the beaver head on. As Bearsnout sprang into action he immediately went for the beavers chest and face, try to find a way to easily get its neck with his claws or his teeth. They had two options. Allow the beast to bleed out from severe injuries or attempt to get its neck. And neck sounded like it’d cause less harm, along with being more efficient overall.

The tom grabbed onto the beasts neck and began to sink his claws in. The beaver thrashed around wildly, plus the added factor of his Clanmates made it hard to find a way to get his jaws on the neck. The beaver was just a big fat rodent. As the beaver thrashed and screeched wild, horrendous sounds of pain, it only made Bearsnout’s claws go deeper and tears more skin from his neck, until Bearsnout eventually let go, watching his proud as blood dribbles from its neck.

His neck attack was aimed for the beavers face, he swung his huge paws in front of the beaver’s face. He intended to blind it, but overwhelmed by the three cats the beaver refused to be still, and instead Bearsnout only managed to scratch the right eyes and some of his muzzle.

Bearsnout grunted as he retaliated, panting as he considered his next move.

He clawed at the dam removing more sticks and small branches. It was getting easier to do now that he knew how to dislodge them. The more he removed the more water started drip through. This was going faster than he originally assumed and that was good, the property of danger was still there so he couldn't get to confident now.

Hearing the sound of his classmates call her turned from what he was doing to look at Cherryswirl. Sure enough there was water seeping through the dam at the bottom. "I think we're just about done up here?" he replied back and then turning to minnowsplash who seemed to be working just as if more diligently. They didn't what the can up here, now it was time to dig some mud.

He quickly made his way off the dam and towards the rest of his team who were digging. Observing what they were doing for a few more seconds, he turned and started to dig aswell, the mud wasn't the best but the sight of water seeping through was more than enough to make him continue to dig.
