Big News, and A Question
So, I just found out I might be getting an actual desktop computer soon! This is really good new for me, because I currently use a crappy old chromebook I've had for 4.5 years that expired last year. It struggles to even turn itself on most of the time.
This will greatlly increase my WCO activity, but I do have an issue. Because we're in the process of re-doing my room and my parents paying for that, they say I need to pay for it.
So I'm trying to get a job, but I'm too young to go work part time at even most minimum wage jobs.
I just woke up and cannot think, but does anyone have an idea of a job someone between 10-14 could do? I'm considering shoveling driveways since my area in northern nj tends to get a LOT of snow.
Does anyone have any ideas of something I could do, because I'm really desperate for a computer that turns itself on.

Re: Big News, and A Question
I sometimes dog-sit, so if you like animals and you make sure everything is covid safe that might work. @ Trouble

I might look into that, my parents might be fine with that. Thanks for the help, I'm adding that to list of jobs to attempt!

Re: Big News, and A Question
Well, whenever I needed money for the laptop I had now, I [well, msotly relied on holiday money] but I also did laundry for my grandmother, so if there are any chores you can help with, even with elderly in your neighborhood, of course, with safety precautions because of obvious reasons, then maybe trying that can be a good idea!

Re: Big News, and A Question
I'm not sure if this counts as different from Dog-sitter but you could "walk dogs" or be a cashier. @ Trouble

Re: Big News, and A Question
I'm 15 and I babysit, dog sit, and do work around the house to get an allowance. I live in northern NJ too, so I've been shoveling people's driveways for a little extra money. But after all my hard work, I'm stuck on a laptop from 2010 that takes a half hour to turn on and my brother got a new gaming pc with two screens for doing nothing @ Trouble

Re: Big News, and A Question
Hey!
You could always try babysitting!
Or like Panda said, and many others you could dog-sit (or pet sit)
And offer to walk dogs!
Or perhaps ask neighbors if they need anything done like an "odd-job".
Also, I think McDonald's highers 14 year-olds.
I live quite close-by to you, and I'm sure you'll find something!
Good Luck!

Re: Big News, and A Question
Dog walking for sure, also plantsitting and petsitting. Trust me, it is easier than babysitting.. some children can be insane.
