That's..nice, at least he hasn't walked away yet which means Ember's on the right path. Oh boy this would take so long. But hey, maybe the question wasn't so stupid and he'll be alright and he'll- uh....oh, yep, they should get out of the way! "Oh, right" right right right right. He snapped back from his mind, skittering walking after Jayfrost as soon as he started to walk towards the edge of the camp. Okay so...they could talk more! This means they could talk more and Jay probably doesn't mind, right??? So, what should they talk about next..uh..probably something that matches what they were talking about before! Like uh...well, he's kinda running out of words regarding the event especially since Jay said he isn't interested! So would continuing to talk about it make him annoyed? Uh, what would Jay like to talk about?? He'd been following him a couple times, yea, but he doesn't want Jay to know that! What would Emberfang realistically know about him if he wasn't?
And then the first thing that came to mind was Garlicfeather. Well they seem close (he hates to admit that) since they talk a lot and they used to be mates or something so maybe he could ask something like uh..."hey..since you and Garlicfeather seem close to each other, so now i'm wondering, what was the thing that made you too close to each other?" he paused for a moment before a feeling of needing to add something on last minute "..Well, i- uh..but you don't really need to answer if you don't want to, but i was just curious...y'know..?" because what if Jay doesn't want to answer and feels uncomfortable around him?? Good impressions matter and...now he waits for the answer? Argh, it feels like every single part of his body was working over time to keep himself from stuttering and breaking down like some sort of unstable den in the rain by now.
Hollytail had been sitting around, practically doing nothing for the past few hours, when he suddenly decided that he was hungry, at that particular moment. He stood up and padded to the fresh kill pile. He had already been eyeing a trout.
He reached out to grab it just as Seabreeze did so as well. He only realized at the last moment.

Seabreeze jolted back as suddenly from out of his admittedly tunnel vision another paw came reaching for the same trout that he was. He reared his paw back as they touched out of surprise. The lionheart looked up and met eyes with a cat that he didn't really know all that well. Hollytail, if his limited memory serves him correctly. Blue eyes shifted away from the other feline and Seabreeze took a half step back in embarrassment, "S-sorry." What else should he say? Should he say anything? Probably best just to move on with his day and get something different, "you can, umm, you can have it, no worries. I'll get something else." The lionheart offered as he moved his straying eyes from around camp back to the pile back away from seeing Hollytail's paws. What else, there were plenty of fish on the pile right now though so he didn't have anything to worry about there. The tom reached out for a salmon that had been at the other end of the collection of food just so that the same mistake couldn't happen again.

Spottedstream sat in the clearing of camp, her silver bengal pelt shining as the warrior groomed it. Her blue eyes were relaxed as she stopped grooming to gaze at the sky.

Hollytail looked at Seabreeze, then back down to the trout. "O- oh sorry- I didn't see you were getting that trout . . ." He watched as Seabreeze went for a salmon instead. "You sure you don't want this trout here? I don't mind if you do". He stared off into the distance for a few short moments before shaking his head as if to clear his thoughts.
"Sorry- just thinking about something. So well anyways, how's your day been . . . mines been- well, really unamusing. Nothing really has been happening, other than Birdsnow stepping down and all that stuff"

Seagullwing came out of the nursery, yawing and stretching. She was sleeping in because, well, it was almost time for her kits to be born and she wanted to at least get some sleep in so she could prepare. She saw the Spottedstream sitting in the clearing. That was her name, right? Spottedstream? The queen really hadn't seen the warrior around before. She padded up to the other cat. "Hi, Spottedstream! It's Spottedstream, right? I'm Seagullwing." Now, what else should she say? "What are you looking at in the sky?" Seagullwing followed her gaze, but didn't see anything.
