Foxclaw woke up, ending up with almost no sleep... however, he was content with the amount of sleep, for he didn't feel sleepy anymore. Then he heard some muttering coming from somewhere. He padded outside, and accidentally tripped over the white kit.

Burntwhisker watched as Foxclaw tripped over the kit. She chuckled as Foxclaw fell, but then she thought of the kit and watched to see if the kit was ok. "You ok?" she asked the kit as she padded up to it and licked its head gently.

Nettlenose flicked his eyebrows. The pond? What was she thinking? Though Nettle had no knowledge of her RiverClan heritage, he knew that the pond, frog-filled and stagnant, held very little fish. He guessed, though, that frogs counted, though few were willing to eat the slimy amphibians. A slight nod was all he could muster. The tabby didn't want to bloat his ego by assuming that he would win, but he was very confident. A tail swish and a flick of his brow set him in his own direction.

"I'll set towards the sun," he mewed, looking over his grey shoulder, "prey might like it in warmer areas due to the colder weather." His brain was set on his goal. Find the most prey. A primitive feeling settled over him. Hunt. Feed the Clan. Win. He grinned and looked back and Thunderstrike. "Looks like you're headed away from he sun. Good luck to everybody, may StarClan be with you." His paws his the ground and he was off. Nettlenose ran through the trees, towards a small clearing. A dogwood with low-hanging, short branches held screeching birds. The coal-pelted tomcat eyes the swallows with sharp crystals. He stalked the tree, out of sight of the prey. He made a plan in his head, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Fogfire nodded. Good choice, he'll likely catch a decent amount. "Good luck- we can all meet back here when we're finished!" She flicked her tail at Nettlenose, and turned to Thunderstrike. "Better bring your best, you've got some competition." She teased, brown eyes sparkling. Of course, she meant this in regards to the hunt, though it could be taken another way. The thought never occurred to the molly, however, and she turned away without a second thought. "See ya soon!" She called over her shoulder, picking up the pace as she headed towards the pond. I wonder if it'll be frozen over.

Fogfire neared the pond, the pressure of the competition already pressing down on her. I wonder if Nettlenose or Thunderstrike caught anything yet, she thought with a flick of her ear. No reason to think about them, though. Focus on your own task. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the pond ahead of her, not yet leaving the cover she had. Movement flashed as a bird landed a few tail lengths away from the water's edge, and Fogfire tensed up, trying to figure out the best way to approach it.

The small she-cat looked at the ground and jumped back as her tongue was freezing. She turned her head quickly at Foxclaw and gave him a friendly glare. She then mewed, "It was to funny," she said holding her head high acting like a snobbish cat in a joking manner.

Smiling, Foxclaw dug up some snow and threw it at the cat. "Who's funny now!" He exclaimed.

Burntwhisker chuckled as the snow hit her. She jumped up and said, "Still you!" she meowed as she leaped away behind a tree as she kicked snow at the male as she ran away.

Foxclaw yelped as snow rained on him, covering him completely. He stayed covered for only a short time, for he leaped out of the snow and landed on all four paws. "Why you..." He said, pretending to growl, and ran after her.

Foxclaw was just chasing the she-cat, when he noticed the cat trip. That didn't stop him though, as he saw it as an advantage.

The she-cat shut her eyes wondering if the male was going to barrel into her or not.
