Cleo walked through the breezy castle, running her hand along the wall. She was beyond bored. She had been in her room reading, but the fun could only last so long. Her eyes trailed on the large wooden doors and servants running through the castle. Thomas sat leisurely in his grand room, his well muscled arms flexing as he pushed himself up from his bed and walking throughout the corridors of his father's castle. With a confident grin on his face, he sauntered out to the courtyard to survey the land. With sudden conviction he decided to travel to one of the neighboring kingdoms, Abadon, perhaps a pretty maiden or two would catch his eye there.

Evie sat in the streets of Abadon, her emerald eyes wandering as she looked for her next meal.

Cleo sighed and walked back to her room, throwing herself into her puffy mattress. She looked out the window, watching the birds fly and the wind sway the trees. She kicked off her shoes and put her head on her pillow, enjoying the warm sun on her face.

Cleo shrieked and tumbled off her bed with a loud thump. "Who are you?" She asked indignantly. "Are you spying on me?" Her face was red and embarrassed from her outburst. She picked herself up off the floor and brushed off her dress. "You do know I'm the princess of Abadon, yes? I could have you executed." She personally thought the boy was cute, but she was angry at him because he had startled her.

She held her head high, looking at the man in the window, trying to seem regal.
