Character of the Month (June 2023)

Welcome to Character of the Month, a feature designed to recognize two characters who deserve kudos!

Using the form found at the bottom of this post, you may nominate two Main Roleplay characters you think deserved to be featured! Please use one form per character - they should not be in the same form.

For the sake of giving every character a chance, avoid nominating cats who have already been nominated for the month.

Nominations will be held for approximately 3 weeks, ending on the 22nd. Once it ends, a poll will be posted displaying the names of the characters who qualify for voting.

Users can vote for as many characters as they want to be recognize, provided it is not their own character. It is discouraged to vote for every character listed, as only two will win.

If two characters have the most votes, but they are roleplayed by the same person, the winner will be picked by staff based on the nomination reasons, and the second winner will default to the next highest vote.

The voting period will end on the last day of the month, and the results will be posted on the 1st of the new month.

Before you nominate, please keep these in mind.

• Characters should have been roleplayed within the last two weeks of being nominated to avoid inactive characters being featured.
  
  
• You may not nominate your own characters, or advertise your characters to gain nominations.
  
  
• Characters used to violate a roleplay rule cannot be voted for the month they broke the guideline. They will be omitted from the final polling.
  
  
• Nominations must include an explanation of why the character deserves recognition. Posts that do not provide a reasoning will be removed. Additionally, be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Vague or thoughtless statements (e.g. "they're cool") will result in your nomination being discarded. We want to know why you think this cat deserves attention!
  
  
• You may nominate two characters, but avoid nominating characters who have already been nominated.
  
  
• A character who has won before may be nominated only after 6 months.

Why should this character be featured?: Cracklepaw! Woah is he quite the spitfire and it’s absolutely amazing!
This guy has no shame and it’s all for the game! Cracklepaw is genuinely such a well developed character it is astonishing that he hasn’t been given the opportunity to rule over Thunderclan yet! But all jokes aside, Cracklepaw is such a joy and dare I say favorite character to read for me! I love his snappy personality and the fact he has zero filter makes him such a great character and it’s clear he has a lot of potential and Leafí is doing a wonderful job at working towards it!

Why should this character be featured?
OML Firefly is just the sweetest thing. She is amazing, and just so shy, and yet such a sweetheart. She has gone through a lot, but she powers through, and remains strong. She is also very fun to read, no matter how long or how short her post is, I just love her. <3

Why should this character be featured?: I love how this character has been developed throughout her life from the beginning. Even though she's a medicine cat apprentice now, Alchemist still has an interest in plotting with her and she's always around camp with other cats, interacting in everyday life. And her thoughts are always so well portrayed! I love her.

Why should this character be featured?: One of the most adorable and determined kits you will ever meet. Wolfkit is ready to become a warrior. Brave, lovable, oh-so-adorable, this little kit will make anyone's heart melt with his cute moves and make anyone proud of him for his determination and skills. Certainly more than just a kit, Wolfkit is a warrior. Just in a smaller body.

Why should this character be featured?
Where should I start? This cat is a pleasure to read, and his personality is just amazing. This guy murdered TWO(?) High Ranks, and seems to make fun out of it! This cat is an overall pleasure, and I would not recommend getting near him.

Why should this character be featured?: Morningcall is one of the best characters on wco in my personal opinion, she just has so much depth to her and all her posts should be in the Louvre, because they are MASTERPIECES. Morningcall has such a big heart and is just a very realistic, fantastically crafted character. I can't want to see where she goes in the future!

Why should this character be featured?: Well, Jayvines strikes again with another fantastic character. Lion made his debut not long ago, but he's already making a mark on everyday life in ThunderClan. He has such a different style and the way he carries himself is so different than how most cats are structured on wco, and it's incredibly refreshing to see. He stands out (in a good way ofc) and I can't wait to see how he continues in the future!

Why should this character be featured?: This character is ABSOLUTELY amazing! Everything down to her characteristics and personality is brilliant! Wooly is extremely well written and a complete blast to RP with! Abyssopelagic just adds a liveliness into this sweetheart that I can't explain.
It's definitely been a privilege to RP with such a great character and an even better roleplayer

Why should this character be featured?: Hound is so much fun! (Which is typical for solars characters). Theyre outspoken and loud and not willing to back down but still willing to put this aside for the greater good. They've been very involved in the clan and is funny while doing so from wrangling idiot kids to general upkeep that a clan with only one hr desperately needs. TLDR? BARK BARK BARK WOOF!!

Why should this character be featured?: This wonderful lady has gone though so much this month. From loosing all her kits to emotional gut punches via thunderclans resident knucklehead she bears it all with both as much grace as possible but also heartbreaking emotions. It is amazing and painful to read in the best of ways and I hope I get to rp with this incredible character some day!
