"Good job!" Twistedpaw purred. "I haven't had a hunting lesson yet. Wolftail's focused more on fighting." She shifted on her paws and meowed, "I was just trying to eat a rabbit."
Guiltily, she glanced over to the creature which had a messy bite taken out of its center. Her stomach growled and she jumped slightly.
I hope that he didn't hear that, she thought, embarrassed.

He gave the other apprentice a once-over with his olive eyes, frowning.
There's something off, though I can't quite place it...
He opened his mouth to taste the air, and that's when it hit him.

Sunpaw's eyes were wide.
He looks about my age as well.
Perhaps we can be friends, and learn how to navigate this unfamiliar place together!

Echokit managed the dodge the other kits dive with a grin- this was actually getting fun! Her tail lashed as light blue eyes lingered on Prancingkit, waiting for a good moment to launch herself at her, but then-- the silver kitten turned her head around as she felt a glare to her neck, not noticing the other unsheathing her claws.
Unfortunately it was her mother, and just when it was really getting fun.. oh well.
"it looks like the all mighty Echostar has to retreat for a grooming. We shall continue this battle another time Prancingstar" Echokit mew before giving a small smile, then returning to her mother and siblings.
@ Vessel (ending this here since Echo became an appie- hope you don't mind!)
