"Story-time" for you all little parasites [Open to Shadowclan kits]

Hollyrose's dark green gaze swept over the camp and a
deep (and annoyed) frown came over her face. Why couldn't those dump
kits just stay in the nursery like they were supposed to, not walk around like
pigeons. The fact that she was currently the only elder didn't exactly make
things more fun and she swore her ears would fall of if one more of those
pebble-brains came whining for a story... she might just have to eat them.

She wrapped her ginger tail over her paws and idea suddenly
sprung up in her head, if the pests wanted a story why not
give them one, why not give them a whole bunch and add
some nice nightmares to that two, that'd be fun...

"Kits of Shadowclan!" she called out over the camp, making her voice
strong so all would hear it. "This is the only time I'll ever tell you any
stories so get your butts over here if you don't wanna miss it." Her tone
could have been a little more... well, nice but she just didn't feel like it today.

She watched the kits' reaction and hoped as many as possible
of them show up, she didn't want to have to do this more then
once so she wanted to have all of them here. Starclan give me
strength.... she thought, she wasn't doing this because she wanted
to, she was doing this to be able to sleep for at least one day without
those pesky things coming to irritate her. She understood that kits
were important for the clan's future but couldn't the just be locked up
in some hole in the ground and just given food sometimes, things
would be much more organized when they weren't around, messing things up.

The small kit padded over, before laying down, looking up to the elder eagerly. She never was someone to be very excitable, but she loved stories, even from the rudest elder.

Toadkit | She/Her |4 Moons

The brown kit grumbled a bit about being woken up, but settled down to listen to the story. She avoided the other kits though, it was still scary being alive again.

[center] Smokykit bounced over, a loud purr errupting from the smoky gray tom.

Crowkit stumbled over, they kept tripping over twigs and pebbles. They let out a frustrated sigh,

Dapplekit ~ He/him
Dapplekit's ears flicked up as he heard the call for kits. His pale blue gaze swept the clearing, trying to figure out who had called them, but quickly gave up his search in favor of following the other kits. He padded after them, sitting down and curling his tail over his paws as he waited for everyone else to gather.

Mosskit ~ She/her
Mosskit had been lightly dozing in a patch of sunlight just outside of the nursery, woken by the ruckus of kits as they hurried over towards Hollyrose. It took the she-kit a moment to process the words that had been spoken, before realizing that stories were about to be told. She hesitated, she didn't really want to listen to stories right now. Her amber and green gaze flicked from kit to kit as they all scampered towards the elder and anxiety bubbled up in her chest, she didn't want to be the only kit not to listen to the stories. She stood and followed the rest of the kits, settling down in a softer patch of dirt.

Crookedkit nervously padded up to the elder.
Wow... She's big.
Well, bigger than him. He found about everything intimidating.
Stories? Uhm... Okay.
This should be good.

**Sunsetkit**

Sunsetkit perked up from beneath her mother's long fur. Stories? She couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn more about her clan and what the grumpy elder had to say. She scampered out into the clearing and settled herself within hearing distance of the elder to await her story.

Pigeonkit crouched low then pounced, pinning down a stray leaf. She straightened with a triumphant grin on her face. She was getting better at her pounce every day, she just knew it! It wouldn't be long before she could out-pounce the apprentices! Dawnstar would have to make her an apprentice then.

Hollyrose's call brought Pigeonkit out of her thoughts. She smiled and ran over to the elder, unperturbed by her apparent lack of enthusiasm for the task. She was always ready and excited for a good Shadowclan story.

~ IVYKIT ~

Ivykit's ears perked when she heard the kits of ShadowClan being turned. She turned her dark brown head to spot the Clan's only elder, Hollyrose, looking all grumpy. Ivykit was four moons old now and hadn't yet heard an elder's story. Sure, some of them were overexaggerated and annoying, but they could also be useful. She loved to learn, and learning more about her life and ShadowClan would work really well for her. And if she missed out now, well, she missed out. Hollyrose wouldn't be telling any more stories. The she-kit walked over, seeing that some other kits had gathered already. Ashkit, Toadkit, Smokykit, Crowkit, Dapplekit, Mosskit, Crookedkit, Sunsetkit, and Pigeonkit. A lot of kits.

Ivykit sat down, tucking her tail around her paws, making sure that she was closer to the front so she'd have a better view and hearing range of the elder. She also hoped that the other kits weren't being really annoying because she wanted to listen. And a lot of the other kits liked to squeak and things. Oh well, she'd do her best to listen and not be annoying like the others, like how the elder viewed them. She was supposed to show respect to older cats, right? Even if they were annoying? She didn't want to, but she might as well so she could potentially hear more. The she-kit dipped her head to Hollyrose. "Ready whenever you are," she mewed. "I hope the others don't speak over you because I wanna actually hear." She looked pointedly at the other kits, not caring if their opinion of her lessened because she was being genuine, then turned back to the elder.
