"Story-time" for you all little parasites [Open to Shadowclan kits]

Kits gathered around her. Not all of them as she had hoped, but then again, some kits had the brains to stay in the nursery, out of the way from the warriors. And this would be fun regardless of the amount of kits, maybe not as fun but still worth doing.


" A long time ago" She began. That was how all the stories started, true or not. "There was another clan" Well, Skyclan but this wasn't about them, this was about a clan she had come up with herself. "Darkclan. They were strong and fierce, ruling the forest most of the time. A bit like Shadowclan is now. Their leader was a she-cat named... Froststar. Cold-hearted and feared she was the strongest cat in the forest, but she wasn’t alone, she had a deputy of course; Nightheart.

The two cats were the most powerful cats in the forest, but something was threatening that; Batblood was a rouge who had recently joined the clan. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for rouges to join a clan and normally it wasn’t a problem. But then again, Batblood wasn’t normal in the slightest, because she had a special ability; the former rouge had joined carrying the gift to talk to and command animals like badgers and foxes. That could be used to make Darkclan even more powerful, but Batblood kept the power to herself, because she was still a disloyal rouge at heart and hadn’t joined the clan to make it stronger, she had joined to get power herself.

So, one day when Nightheart was walking in the forest by himself he was attacked by a fox, can you guess why? " she didn’t give them time to respond ” It was one under Batblood’s control.



Eaglestrike, another good warrior was given the tittle after Nightheart but he soon got the same fate, murdered by what looked to be a badger. Troubled by all the recent deputy deaths, Froststar announced the second deputy in that moon, Batblood. And as you can guess he didn’t die, no no, this was Batblood’s plan, to kill of the deputies until she was given the position.

Now she only had to do one thing, get rid of Froststar.



So one night the two took a walk at Batblood’s request...when a dark shadow moved in the bushes without anyone noticing.... until...” she lowered her voice and head to make all the kits listen more carefully and fully focus on her. ”The large wolf took a leap towards Froststar and-!” Her voice was suddenly much louder, almost like a shout before she swiftly, almost like a snake moved her head forward and snapped her jaws together, almost biting the whiskers of the kits closest to her. ”Bit at the leader neck, killing her!”

Her head moved back and the dark green eyes gazed over the kits, watching their reactions, already amused.



”What do you think happened then?”

Dapplekit - He/him
Dapplekit listened with wide eyes and a huge grin. Why hadn't he pestered for stories before? This was awesome! Darkclan? They sounded amazing! And a bit scary... but the story was so cool! The tiny tom tried to conjure up the scene in his head. Two dark silhouettes creeping through the forest when BAM! A wolf - what does a wolf look like? - comes bursting through and attacking Froststar! Some huge hulking monster, with gleaming red eyes and teeth dripping with blood! His ears flicked up as he realized Hollyrose had asked a question. "Batblood became the leader of Darkclan!" He called out loudly.

Mosskit - She/her
Mosskit, who had been curled up on the ground, was now partially hiding her face with her tail. Her mismatched amber-and-green eyes were wide as she listened to the story. It sounded so horrible! The creepy names, the brutal murders, the chilling creatures she had only heard vague stories about... Wolves, badgers, foxes... It was so much! Was the forest really that scary? What would happen would she became an apprentice? Oh, she really should have stayed in her sun patch by the nursery! She was certain she would have nightmares tonight. She sucked in a deep breath, calming herself. Maybe the story would have a happy ending. Or maybe Batblood becoming leader would be the happy ending? Mosskit was unsure.

Crookedkit shivered.
Who would ever abuse their power, and only use it for themselves?
He stared at his paws, his whiskers quivering at the thought of Batblood's spirit watching him now...
"So, is he Batstar now?" He inquired, responding to Dapplekit, but also asking the storyteller.
Will the clan believe his lies?
He sure hoped not, but he kept quiet after his question, deep in thought.

~ IVYKIT ~

Ivykit's ears pricked as the elder told her story. She expected something about life experience, maybe a battle with another Clan, some story that stemmed from a ShadowClan warrior. But no, she was wrong. It was about something in the past, another Clan. "DarkClan", apparently. Ivykit had heard that some elders made stories up. Was this a made-up story or was it real? It wasn't the type of story that she had been expecting, which made her a bit annoyed as she leaned more toward the possibility of it just being something to entertain the other mouse-brains. But a story was a story. Maybe she could benefit it in one way or the other. She continued to listen.

DarkClan was based off of ShadowClan, it seemed like. They were probably fierce and liked battle, then, although if ShadowClan had existed during that time - maybe it did, the elder hadn't been clear on her wording - ShadowClan would obviously be better. Ivykit thought about the rogue. The evil rogue. She already guessed where this was going: the rogue was going to try and get power for herself. And she was right. She used her ability to make other animals attack the high ranks. Typical rogue. Many rogues brought trouble, didn't they? This one only wanted to betray her Clan. For power. Ivykit wanted power someday, but no way would she be disloyal to ShadowClan! Dawnstar and Shadestorm were both good warriors, and if she gained a rank, she'd get it by being good.

It was annoying how the elder didn't give them any time to respond. Twice, Ivykit opened her jaws to make a guess, but then was interrupted before any sound could escape her mouth. Of course Nightheart and this Eaglestrike died. Batblood was crafty, that was for sure. If Ivykit had been in her position, she would've done the same. Used her powers to frame other animals. No cat would've suspected her. However, again, she wouldn't do that. Unlike some cats, she was actually loyal to her Clan! Not like her mother. Ivykit continued to listen.

A wolf? She blinked. She didn't know what a wolf was, but Shadestorm had said that the WindClan deputy was called Wolffang. She assumed that it was some sort of predator, like a fox or a badger, big and strong. Ivykit would ask that question later. Oh, and Froststar was dead. When Hollyrose asked her question, Ivykit fell silent, waiting. But this time, it was an actual pause. The question almost made her roll her eyes. How easy was this? Of course Batblood would become leader. One of the other kids - Dapplekit - guessed it. The other kits were either scared or appalled. They're such babies.

Ivykit lifted her head and raised her voice to be heard. "If DarkClan didn't find out, then Batblood would've become Batstar, the leader. Unless there's some sort of change." By "change", she meant "plot twist". "Batblood sounds smart, but I don't like her. True cats would stay loyal to their Clan and rogues who are accepted should do the same. But of course she's bad. Also, what's a wolf?"
