Foxblaze laughed at the rambunctious warrior while looking around. “So why are you looking for it anyway?”

Heronleap wandered the territory, the young warrior having nothing better to do. He didn’t have much to do that day, not being assigned to a border or hunting patrol, or having an apprentice. It was nice to just walk sometimes. Riverclan territory would always be beautiful to him.

"erm.. well, that's kind of a secret! but i have to give it someone because i think i made them grumpy and it's like an apology rock! and maybe they can become friends with the rock and then they'll be happy i gave it to them! but it can't be just anyyy rock, because i gave them a pretty rock and i don't think it was pretty enough for them because they got mad about it, so now i need to find the prettiest rock to make sure they like it!" dayheart answered, thinking back about how he'd dropped that other pretty rock at the cat's feet and never saw it again. had they kept it? thrown it away? hrm, at least now he was getting the prettiest rock and he could use it to apologize and everything would be fun and dayheart would live happily ever after! "do you see anything?"

“Well I found this nice stripy blueish one, but why don’t you just apologize.” Foxblaze asked while holding up the rock.

Fennelheart bared her teeth at Echopaw before releasing her,” Behave yourself and just collect branches and sticks like Silentpaw, or I’ll do more than pinning you down.” she replied

to be fair, dayheart hadn't thought of that.

but his idea was more... long-lasting! wasn't it? and he'd apologize and give the cat the rock! it was, like, double the apology. "well, um... y'see... uhhhhh,,,,,, i need a strong apology! because i made them really mad! so i don't think just an apology would be enough, so i need to get them the prettiest rock in riverclan too so that maybe they'll forgive me!" it was true! he had made them pretty mad.. and it made him feel so guilty! even though they'd also made him pretty sad n mad, even though he'd just been trying to do something nice, that didn't matter -- he had to apologize, and give them the apology rock! going over to check out the blueish stripy rock that foxblaze had supposedly found, dayheart examined it carefully, getting all close and personal to inspect each and every blemish -- or the lack thereof. "hrmm... it's a very nice rock... but i'm not sure it's the most perfectestest one! it's a contestant, though! contestant? candidate.. yeah, that's the world! world, i mean. no, not world! word!!! that rock is a candidate! here, lemme put it over there so we can remember where it is and look back once we have a few more candidates!" dayheart judged the rock, waiting for foxblaze to hand it over so he could go place it beside a nice thick tree so they'd remember where it was & come back to judge it alongside some others later.

Foxblaze handed the rock over to Dayheart, “What made them so mad anyways?”

he couldn't tell foxblaze. no. nope no. what if it gave her a hint as to who he was getting this rock for? dayheart couldn't let that happen. "i.. i can't tell you! it's a secret! you might know who it is and it has to be a surprise!" the warrior stated, taking the rock in his mouth and walking over to the darkly-colored tree so that he could place it right on one of the tangled roots. setting it down and making sure it didn't tumble away to a different spot, dayheart turned his attention back to looking for rocks. finding one that was... sorta round, not round enough for his liking but at least it wasn't super rigid, and that was a pretty sandy/fiery orange color, dayheart set it down next to the one foxblaze had found. "two candidates so far! how many should we look for? how about, like.. 4 or five, and then you can help me decide which one is prettiest?"

“I won’t tell them I swear.” Foxblaze mewed as she continued looking for pebbles.
