Blackfrost couldn’t hide the smirk that slipped onto her muzzle at his calling words for her to wait for him as she walked back to camp, the two limp frogs hanging in her jaws. When he joined her side, the she-cat noticed how soaked with water his fur was and that made her snicker with amusement, but she said nothing about it. The forest was quiet and calming at the moment, with the occasional bird flying from a tree branch, which made her ears twitch now and then to the sound.

When he caught up, he smiled shaking some of the water off him to his surroundings, including her. "Oops my bad." He had a smile on his face, but he truly meant it that time, he had forgotten about the fact she'd get a little wet as well on the way back to camp.

Strolling through the territory,
Acornstone allowed the soothing song of nature hum within the fur of their ears. They took small pawsteps at a time, relaxing under the peacefulness. Their eyes flicked back and forth, carefully examining each and every little detail. Although everything had been walked many times, and memorized long ago, Acornstone still found it rather calming to go through and remember every tiny leaf or twig. They swished their tail high in the air, trotting lightly as to not disturb the peace. Their nose twitched as the faint scent of a patrol caught their attention, but they only ignored it and began to examine pine needles strewn across the ground.

Sootfur enjoyed being outside of camp even if the air was humid from recent rain-and by the gazing up between the pine trees at the thick clouds above it seemed more was to come. Still, he was happy. Rainfall just means growing plants, right? He also thought it was such an honor to be an escort to the new medicine cat. They didn't seem to be fully knowledgable in herbs yet but the tom was sure that the young feline would learn quickly with the other medicine cats to help them. Sootfur had always been interested in herbs-mostly because of their delightful scent-and the way those cats were special enough to be able to speak to their starry ancestors. He never really felt special. He was just an aging tom with an occasional limp. Maybe I could talk to Daypaw about it? ...No, I don't believe they have enough experience yet. Sooner or later he'd be retired in the elders den but he decided not to think about that now, it wasn't important, what was important was keeping Daypaw safe. Sootfur noticed their subtle nod of thanks and he returned with a friendly smile. It's my pleasure really! He continued to glance around making sure there was no danger around them and all the while keeping the peaceful silence. He decided to wait for small talk.

"I can tell you want to ask me something, spit it out." Daypaw called it a 6th sense, sensing a sort of longing in the air for speech. The enby was planing to go herb picking, that meant going into territory. Cats would question why they would need guards, and the answer was simple. The areas around them. The big looming pines creating shadows in the corner of your eye. It was easy for Day is confused reality and their nightmares at times, a kit like nature to image monsters in the dark. It left the med cat on their toes, tail twitching to get back to camp as their speed slightly increased. They were planning to go to the edge of their territory,were there were more shrubbery and room for herbs to grow rather then among the errie pines.

Halestar padded out with her deputy, sighing faintly as they walked. She had only one thing on her mind that needed to be discussed. "So Goldeneye, I have been thinking and after reviewing everything that falls inside the warrior code- I believe we should launch an attack on RiverClan's camp. After all that has happened, they are just... not trustworthy." the leader said, looking at Goldeneye.

Goldeneye blinked, padding next to the Shadowclan leader quietly, "Why would you say that?" The deputy asked after a moment, as he was curious as to what would lead Halestar to say that. He already believed that other clans should not be trusted, not even when prey was scarce, but still, he was curious. He knew that Shadowclan could take on Riverclan, they were strong, so he wasn't really worried about that. He actually wasn't very worried about anything at all really, just curious about why Halestar would think that. Looking at the leader quietly, curious for her response.

"Well, ever since the Evil Era- heck...even before that, RiverClan has always had an issue with ShadowClan. I believe they are a possible danger to our clan and the other clans, they need to be put in their place." Halestar said, walking with the tom.

Goldeneye nodded, "That makes sense," he agreed. He hadn't been very old for the Evil Era, and could barely remember it, but he knew that it hadn't been a very cheerful era. "So when do you think we should attack?" He asked, as he didn't know exactly how much preparation Shadowclan would need to attack Riverclan, but he knew that Shadowclan needed to catch Riverclan off-guard, as that would certainly put them in their place. Halestar was more experienced though, so he wanted to know her plan, even though he wouldn't be going off and rambling about battle plans on a whim, as he was sort of nervous about attacking Riverclan, even knowing that Shadowclan was strong and could do it easily.

Goldeneye was quiet for a long moment, staring at the cat in front of him, trying to figure out if he was being toyed with or not. "It's just one piece of prey!" He exclaimed after a moment, exasperated. "It's New-leaf for Starclan's sake!" He added, rolling his gold and green orbs, "You can find something else!" The deputy sighed, looking at the other tom, "It isn't that hard," he mumbled, just watching him, "And I don't live a prissy life, thank you very much," he fired back "I've had enough sleepless nights the past couple of days!" He exclaimed, dropping the prey now and stepping over it carefully to look at him. Sure, Goldeneye was shorter than him, but the deputy knew he could use that as an advantage if he had to, now just watching once again.

"Sleepless nights? Pft" he spat back at him. He lashed his tail and circled quickly. His paws carefully set down in between the puzzle of twigs and pine needles. "You may think you are like a warrior but your high and mighty. Look at you, plump as a kittypet, I see no bags under your eyes" he snapped back. Smirking at the deputy. Raising his head high as he turned to face him again. And to think halestar appointed him. he shook his head in disbelief, clicking his tongue on the roof of his mouth. [/B]"How would anyone follow you?"[/B] he said with an accusing tone, looking at the prey he had dropped. He flicked his tail and now it rested by his hind legs. He glared down at the deputy who had come up close. Feeling his hot breath ruffle the fur on his chin. He snorted and took a step back, his face looking disgusted. "You think your tough, huh? That was my catch, sure I could cathc another without problem but I guess I'm just putting YOU back in line" he retorted. His claws gripping the soil. He was smiling so maliciously you could tell from a few fox lengths away he was enjoying the screaming match. "You are supposed to let us first! Remember? That's what being deputy is!" he growled. Stepping back and sitting down. Curling his tail around his black and white paws. Still smiling as if nothing had happened. The redness in his face gradually dissappeared leaving no trained facial marks. He simply sat. Admiring how the deputy had stepped up to him.

Coldhearted twitched his nose, trying and hoping to suppress down a sneeze. He knew that if he did, then the predator would find him. The tom pulled his head up, untangling himself from Cloverwhisker as he passed towards the mouth of the abandoned nest. Poking his head out, there was silence. He debated on whether walking out, but he knew his mate would follow him. Did he want her to? No. What if that bird was still prowling around and waiting for them? Coldhearted turned back to Cloverwhisker and settled himself in her embrace. The tom roamed his tongue over her ears. Never did he think he would do this in public. He liked when they were alone. He was allowed to show his affection and tenderness that he hid in public, yet he didn't know why. His heart was still quite guarded, but he knew in time that Cloverwhisker would unlock it all. "Yeah...nothing they can do about us. I don't think Chryss or Puffy would be too happy about it, but oh well." He purred.

She purred back and swished her tail up and down, she closed her eyes and leaned into the Tom. Her mate, wow she still couldn't get that to sound right in her head. Though that was true it oddly seemed to complete everything. Coldhearted, all she could ever ask for in life and he was hers and she was his. Her siblings wouldn't like it and his friends wouldn't like it, but who cared? They loved each other, nothing could break that love. If they were ever separated she knew they would find each other again, no family could keep them apart, no friends could keep them apart. Nothing could stop this love. "I love you so much.." She mewed, her tone not quite as cheerful as usual, but she was perfectly and incandescently happy (*wink*) "They'll get over it eventually.."

"I think we should attack under the cover of a storm. It would remove the scent we left and would keep us covered in the long run." Halestar said, padding along gently. "We have to pick the darkest colored warriors as well to go with us, as it would be better to hide in the cover of a storm and nightfall with darker pelts."

The leader walked forward before looking back at Goldeneye. "If I didn't feel so strongly about the danger of RiverClan I would not even consider an attack."
