Veterans Day Essay I did for school TwT
What is Veterans day? It is a day of unity and peace. The one day of the year when our soldiers feel the most appreciated and respected. We as a nation can show no limit of gratitude to our wounded and fallen. They put their lives on the line for our freedom, well-being, and safety. It is sad that we have lost so many to the ever-changing tide of war and conflict, however, we must tread on. The flow of time stops for no man, nor woman. Therefore, if we plant our heels into the sands of life as we know it, we are letting our fallen die in vain. Tread on, we must. Much like that of Washington in the American Revolution. Much like that of Martin Luther King J.R in his fight for equality and harmony. They did not let their soldiers die in vain. They avenged their souls and persevered through this game we call war. They have brought great shame, and pride, all the same. This day of metaphorical matrimony between man and victory has been a rather adequate part of my life today. For, it has brought me, my beloved great-grandfather, along with my mother’s dear friend. Therefore, it should be honored for many centuries and millennia to come.
