"Seems like there's nobody around," Beck whispered into his helmet transmitter. He pressed his back to the wall, hoping that the room was still unguarded.

"Good. Now shut up and get looking for that weapon. It's got to be around there somewhere," Tron huffed back, on the other end of the line.

Amber walked down a street and turned the corner. She dusted her self off, and heard someone. "Hello? Anybody here?" She kept looking. Amber went down a alleyway, but didn't see anyone.

Beck heard movement outside. Hopefully it wasn't a soldier.

That was the last kind of program he wanted to run into right now. "Uh... I think I've got company," he breathed, not daring to move.

"Fantastic; I'll break out the sparkling energy." Beck's forhead knitted in confusion before his mentor continued. "Fall back. You failed this round."

"But I--"

"That's an order, program. Now get out of there." Tron was already on his way down to the spot where Beck was hiding. "I'll take it from here."

Beck sighed, but relented. "Able's gonna derez me for this," he muttered.

(that's a order program) Amber could make out a few words. Failed? Order? Amber was curious, and tried to find a way inside. She couldn't, and got a little mad. Amber couldn't find a way inside the building.

Beck had already made it out of the area, and was on his way to the garage where he worked.

Whoever was on the approach would be ill met; if Beck had been there, they would make it out of the scrape alive.

But Tron had taken his place.

And the sworn protector of the Grid left no survivors.

Amber kicked the wall, and walked away in anger. She heard footsteps. "Who's there? Answer me!" Amber looked around, in anger.

Tron leapt down from the rafters of a fire escape and landed in front of the firewall program, in a defensive pose. He drew his disc, prepared to attack.

[oh] Amber was surprised. She didn't know what to do, and was scared. Amber pulled out her own disc, and got ready to fight. "You shouldn't have come here." She knew what to do. Amber threw her own disc at a nearby wall, bouncing off, and heading for Tron.

The dark-suited program dodged the projectile like he'd seen it coming all his life. Granted, combat was his primary function.

"I suppose I could ask why you're here as well," he remarked, his deep voice distorted by the mask he wore.

Amber stepped back. She looked at him. "I-i'm firewall protection!" Amber yelled out. Who could he be? She studied this person.

"I gathered that. So what's a soldier doing all the way out here?" Tron coolly replied, anticipating any more moves the firewall program would make. She seemed like a junior soldier... newly repurposed or recruited.
