The assault on his nose as painful as ever, Snowybreeze could feel his eyes water at the heavy mixture of scents permeating the gathering's clearing. He usually avoided these meetings. It was too much for his oversensitive nose. He wouldn't say he hated them, as there was precious little the gentle giant could claim hatred to, but he most certainly did not love them in the slightest. So what, pray tell, might he be doing here? On the night of the full moon, surrounded by strangers and familiar faces alike.
The answer was simple enough today. He wished to forget. To ignore the lack of a particular scent in the camp he could barely call home anymore. He had slowly begun going through the motions. Hunting. Patrolling. Always alone. He didn't want company. He didn't deserve company. How could a cat who hadn't even been able to tell his beloved mate was at the brink of death deserve anything in this life? He'd even removed himself from the warriors' den, taking to sleeping outside once more. Hoping that at least one of the stars above was his beloved. Dreaming that she would come for him and take him home.
It looked like he had gotten his wish in one way at least. He had most certainly not been able to keep his mind on his Berryfrost with this many cats surrounding him, that was for sure. Sky blue eyes quickly sought out a refuge. A corner in which he could escape the din and chatter and simply be. Snowybreeze was not here for attention or companionship. To seek either of those now when he had left her to die alone would be to spit on her memory. To forget himself. Instead, he hid himself by the edge of the clearing, mismatched ears flat against his head as he tried to hide his nose inside the thick mane of fur on his neck. The result was less than stellar, but it would have to do for now. He could withstand the night here. This was his rightful punishment. For daring to survive where she had not.

"First time?" Dovegrowl asked, a slightly mischievous look on her face.
"Dovegrowl! no need to scare them away" Basilthroat batted the gray and red she-cat's face."What's your name? im Basilthroat and this is my greatly annoying partner, Dovegrowl" he said softly trying to act nice.
"Oh please! I can be worst" Dovegrowl barked a laugh.

The handsome young tom looked in between them. "Hi, I'm Sparksky, from Shadowclan!" He smiled, watching the two cats
Her annoyance briefly spiked at Cloudpaw's 'mousebrain' comment. She'd said that there was no point in fighting in the first place, and then he'd gone and started a fight that he couldn't handle! Featherpaw pushed the feeling down. It was done with now. There was no point in starting the fight again, and she didn't want to see him cry again - she wanted to enjoy the gathering.
"Tell me what I've missed back in ShadowClan," they mewed, nudging him playfully. "Are there any new kits or expecting queens? Any new warriors? What's the gossip?"

Ripplepelt gave Adderpaw a sympathetic lick between the ears. She was sure Larkstar hadn't meant anything by it - the things she'd been through as of late would put any cat in a foul mood.
"I'm glad she liked your gift, it was certainly a lucky find. I've never seen a shell that big before," she mewed. "I'm sure she appreciated your offer of friendship, but..." She tilted her head, unsure how to word the next bit. She didn't want to upset Adderpaw, or speak ill of Larkstar at all (especially in front of her biggest defender). "Larkstar is only a new leader, and not every cat in RiverClan is happy about it. She may just be... trying for professionalism."
She gestured up to the Seastones with her tail, the leaders of each clan silhouetted against the bright full moon. "After all, I'm sure Dawnstar or Bumblestar, or even Twilightstar aren't exactly friends with their clanmates. Sometimes when you're responsible for so many cats, you have to keep them at tails-length, especially if you have to make decisions that might upset them."
Cloudpaw considered, trying to think of any gossip. He wasn't much of a gossip cat, so he shrugged his shoulders. "You know I don't gossip, so why not you tell me what's been going on in ThunderClan?" he felt a lot better, so he could listen to Featherpaw about ThunderClan.

The other clans now arriving, Softsong stepped out of her wind-sheltered spot. She wasn't that keen on socialising with any of the other clans, but she supposed she should at least check out who she would have to fight alongside in ShadowClan when the time came.
Before she could do that, she spotted Poppysong. She hadn't had much of a chance to check in with them after the debacle at the clan meeting, being sent straight to her patrol, and she wanted to see how their injured leg was faring as well. She supposed Fallowpaw's trip to the Thunderglade with the two of them would have to be postponed until Poppysong was fully back on their paws. "Poppysong!" she mewed warmly. "How are you faring?"
She looked to the side of them to see a little tortoiseshell. She looked familiar, but it took her a moment to place her - Poppysong's new apprentice! Though it hadn't been long ago, the beginning of the clan meeting and the apprenticeships felt so distant to her that it was almost a shock to see the apprentice still so young. "And you must be Spottedpaw," she mewed, touching noses in greeting. "I'm Softsong - I was Poppysong's mentor when they were an apprentice."
Featherpaw's face lit up, tail raised high in the air the moment she saw him.
"Cloudpaw!" They wasted no time, immediately barrelling into him and nuzzling their head into him affectionately. He smelt like pine and moss and home, and they immediately felt comforted. "How is your training going? Have you done any battle training yet? Has Sparksky been super hard on you? What have I missed out on?"
She let out a big sigh, out of breath after her barrage of questions. "I've missed you so much," she mewed, pawing at the ground. "It's harder to sleep in ThunderClan without you in the nest beside me."

Ripplepelt padded leisurely after RiverClan, at the back of the group to keep an eye on any stragglers. It seemed they were the last to arrive, all the clan scents fresh and present - though she didn't see Bumblestar yet. Had Spiderthroat led his clan to the gathering, or was she amongst the other cats?
She spotted Adderpaw and decided to stop and chat before she mingled with the other clan's cats - it was her first time here, after all! "Adderpaw," she chirped. "Feeling excited for your very first gathering?"
“Ah! Yeah, this is my apprentice.” Poppysong smiles and tilts their head. It still feels so surreal to say. They have an apprentice! They glance at the ground, their thoughts drifting towards speculation on what Spottedpaw’s future will be-
They are ripped from zoning out when Spottedpaw comments about Softsong’s age. “Agh- No- Spottedpaw,” they stutter, “That’s not a very kind thing to say.” They smile nervously at Softsong.

StrawberryPaw would arrive at the gathering in awe as she looked around, taking in the sight of so many cats gathered in one place. The scents of different Clans mingled in the air, and she could hear the murmur of voices and rustle of fur all around her.
Nervously, she would slip into an open spot among the throng of cats, carefully avoiding any cats that seemed aggressive or unfriendly. Once she found a spot, she would give her fur a few swift licks before turning her head upward to look at the towering rock where the leaders would speak.
Despite her nerves, StrawberryPaw would feel a thrill of excitement as she realized she was part of something bigger than herself. This gathering was a chance for the Clans to come together, to share news and stories, and to ensure that peace was kept between them.

Softsong eyed Spottedpaw. Any other apprentice would've gotten a cuff to the ear for that, but the way she'd said it had been so... genuine that Softsong settled for a sharp look instead.
"This ones got some cheek on her," she mewed to Poppysong, half joking. She turned back to Spottedpaw with a serious look. "You're right, I'm ancient - that's why all my fur is grey."
She looked to Poppysong. "How are your legs treating you after the walk here?" she mewed with concern. "I'm surprised you got to the gathering so soon after the patrol. Don't over-exert yourself while you're healing, hm?"
Featherpaw's tail twitched in amusement. Trust Cloudpaw to be absolutely useless when it came to gossip! "Hm... well, we had some apprentice ceremonies yesterday, so I got to go to my very first ThunderClan meeting! And Redhawk took a bunch of us apprentices on a tour all around the territory, so I got to see all the coolest places. It felt strange to see Smallpines from the other side of the border," she mewed. Hm... what else...
"I've mostly been focused on catching up on my warrior training," they admitted. "I've been putting in some extra work, I guess - I don't want to come to the gathering and still be Featherpaw when you get your warrior name!"

having arrived with the other cats following twilightstar he had taken a seat as fast as possible, the cold weather not only making him shiver but also making his leg act up even more than normal. so he was now sitting on the icy cold rocks, freezing his paws off with his leg feeling stiffer than ever and his tail close to turning into a icicle.

having arrived as one of the last of riverclans attendees he had just taken place and was already cursing his ancestors for the short, light fur they had given him.
trying to distract himself from the cold he let his eyes wander, this was the first gathering he had been to in a while after all, having been sick the last time.
and quite honestly, he wouldnt be opposed to having a conversation with a cat of another clan. not being allies and absolutely despising each other to the point of not talking were two different things after all.
