Ray watched as Dream and Snowy “fought” while Monarch sat and watched with her. However before she could put a paw between the pair and drag them outside, Snowy pounced. The little monster. After a moment she sighed and mewed,“It’s alright Monarch, your sisters will be fine. Now come on outside....you too Dream and Snowy, do this outside would you?”
As Ray slunk outside she froze. Dream, Monarch, Snowy....they were there...but were was...
“Paprika?” Ray called out tensing. Had her daughter been taken by something? A badger and eagle? Had she run off? Oh man. Oh man....
Dang it Ray you’re such a terrible mother! Cane would be better at this than you! Grrr

Monarch's tiny fur fluffed. "Okway!" She stumbled, her fluffy fur started to show its wonderful chimera pattern upon it, her eyes looking up at Ray with complete innocence.

The tom followed his stale scent trail back to his den. Everything he loved was there. His mate. His children. Everything. He pushed through some bracken and saw Ray with the kits emerging from the den. Ray! he meowed, rushing forward to his mate.

He purred, Hey, baby. I have to talk to mama, okay? he said to Paprika. He had missed his little kits so much. He licked Paprika's head quickly then went back to approaching Ray. He had missed his mate the most.

Ray had been secretly worrying and stressing about Cane for days. How could she not? He’s just disappeared! And right after she 4 kittens.

4 KITTENS!!!

Yet now he was back! And alive!

Ray’s eyes were wide as she rushed towards her mate...and swatted his ear before nuzzling him. “That’s what you get for disappearing! You had me so worried!” She (kind of) hissed, her voice trembling. Stupid Cane. He just had to go missing right when she had kittens and give her days of stress and fear.

Dream was about to lunge towards her sister when a semi familiar shape blocked the dens entrance.
“Intwudwer!” She yelped, her fur puffed up as she quickly scrambled behind Hex her stronger and braver friend. Was she going to have to fight? We’re they in danger? Would-wait! Was Mama...nuzzling the figure, and what did Paprika shout???

Suddenly Dream’s eyes lit up in recognition! “Dada!” She sqealed bouncing forward on her chubby thighs. It was her Dada! He had disappeared for a while, but now he was back! “Dada!” She sqealed again.

"Dada?" Monarch was puzzled, looking up with her green and blue eyes, she tilted her head, highly confused of what they were meaning by dada. When she saw Cane, she immediately stumbled right on over, "Dada?" She was confused, looking up at him like she had never seen him before. @Peril @Wolfgirl8 @~dust~ @Shadowkit10 @jayfeather21

He flattened his ears in embarrassment. At least Ray wasn't entirely mad at him. I'm so sorry I left. I somehow got outside of our territory and got lost. How have you been? How have the kits been? he was interrupted in his ranting as Dream and Monarch began saying 'Dada'. He looked to his daughters and purred, licking each of their tiny heads. Yes, it's Dada. he said.

“Dumb cat,” Ray muttered with a slightly annoyed and slightly amused smile. As Cane asked his question Ray tilted her head then without a second thought mewed, “Chaotic...but decent...Jinx’s has been helping me with the kits but between us three(now 4) adults we have..what 7+ children?”.

Ray’s heart broke a little at Monarch’s confusion at the word “dada”. However it made sense, Cane had gotten lost soon after their birth. Dream and Paprika must have recognized him from Ray’s(pretty bad) stories. Still Ray was disappointed that he’d missed out on almost a moon of their lives.

Seeing Monarch’s confusion at the word Dada/dad, Dream walked over and mewed, “DADA!” as if it explained everything. All the while she had a bright smile on her face, because even though she didn’t really know what “dada” meant she knew it was a good(albeit formerly missing)word!
