He twitches an ear to show that he had heard, but he was more focused on his mouse than anything. When he finally lifted his head, Smokefur was gone. Seafire glanced around the camp, and, finally realizing how empty it was, scrambled to his paws and bolted out of camp. As he ran the wind whipped through his fur, sending his ears back and his tail flying. He opened his mouth to let out a whoop of delight, but before he could cry out, he collided with something hard, like a furry wall. The impact sent him sprawling backwards into the dirt, his ears ringing and his vision blurry.

Smokefur went sprawling across the soil, rolling backwards. Once she'd scrambled to her paws, her head was aching and felt incredibly disoriented, "Huh? Wh..." she stumbled, then came upon the very cat that had crashed into her. Seafire. "What in the world?" she spat, "Mouse-brain!"

From behind Smokefur came a soft thump, and the she-cat turned to look at Maplestar, who had been watching them. "What's going on? Watch yourself, Seafire." she scolded, tail begining to lash.

Seafire got to his paws, digging his claws into the dirt to get a better grip because the world was doing the spinning thing it apparently had to do at that moment. "Sorry, Smokefur," he gasped. "I didn't see you there." His eyes lifted to Maplestar, and he froze before painfully dipping his head in a respectful manner. "Sorry," he mumbled.

Foxshadow padded through the forest in search of prey. She had noticed that the clan needed more food and decided to go hunting. Her ear twitched at the sound of leaves crunching under paws. 'Oh, Flametail,' she thought, shaking her head.

Flametail padded behind Foxshadow, obliviousy too the leaves crunching under his paws. The light ginger tom followed his adoptive mother, searching for any signs of prey.

Mudclaw sat in the medicine den, sorting through herbs and checking to see if he needed more. 'Hmmm, looks like i'll need to fetch some more cat mint.'

Maplestar narrowed her eyes, "Seafire, you're deputy, aren't you? Keep your head about."

Mudclaw padded out of the medicine den, about to call for his his littermates- Flowerheart and Leaftail- when he heard cats being scolded. He padded up to Maplestar, standing next to her, he meowed "Is everything alright?"

Blazingflame lay in the Warrior's den, curled up. It was still early in the morning and the tom was fast asleep.

Maplestar hissed, "Seafire's being irresponsible, that's all," she snapped. She shook out her fur, quickly returning to her usual quiet, calm mood, "Smokefur, why don't you go out with Mudclaw to collect herbs? You might as well make yourself useful."

Smokefur hesitated, looking at the mottled she-cat and back at Mudclaw. "Uh... Do you want me to come?" she asked the medicine cat.

"I already said-" he started, then broke off when Mudclaw padded up. He continued to glare at the ground, pelt burning with anger. He'd already said sorry! Why did she have to continue to scold him like a kit?
"Hey!" he protested at Maplestar's comment. "I was not! I was going out to follow her to hunt, and then she was just there! It's not my fault I didn't know where she was!"He cast a sullen glance at Smokefur, incredibly embarrassed. It had already been one-to-many cats to witness Maplestar yelling at him, and now Mudclaw was there too!
