ThunderClan ThunderClan Rank Requirements

I'm using BILL.'s code for this, thank you BILL. <3

Eveningmist has recently taken up leadership of ThunderClan and has become Eveningstar. In response to this, he has decided to change some of the requirements Buckstar had put in place regarding ceremonies and other things.

If you decide to have your character become a warrior without receiving a ceremony and a high rank finds out, your character will be forcibly demoted and will have to earn their rank back.

If, for example, your character was an apprentice who decided to become a warrior without being approved, your character would be demoted to kit, expected to do fifty posts as a kit stuck in the nursery/camp, and have to take an assessment at the end of the post requirement to re-certify themselves as apprentice material. If they pass that, they will then be required to redo all of the apprentice requirements before they undertake their last assessment.

The purpose of this rank requirements is to encourage character activity. We want your characters to be more involved in the roleplay and have designed this to be an incentive program, but we will not condone cheaters.

Kit to Apprentice
  • Kits should have existed as a kit for at least one month real life time to qualify for a ceremony.

  • You should have at least ten roleplay posts made with that kit.

  • Kits are required to pay a visit to the elders at least once, and listen to one of their stories. In the event there are no elders, this requirement can be skipped.

  • The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)

Apprentice to Warrior
  • Apprentices should have existed as an apprentice for at least two months real life time and needs to be minimally twelve moons old to qualify for a warrior ceremony. Exceptions may be made to being twelve moons on a case-by-case basis.

  • You will need at least one hundred roleplay posts made with that apprentice.

  • Apprentices need at least five instances of training experience that include the company of a warrior. The warrior does not have to be their mentor.

    These experiences must include:

    • One hunting lesson

    • One battle training session

    • One tree climbing lesson

Here are some ways to get the remaining training experience your character will need to qualify for a final assessment:

    • Patrols (hunting, border, battle, herb collection)

    • Battle experiences (such as raids - requires a battle training session)

    • Any other life experience where the character learns something substantial

    • Plot participation

When applying for a ceremony, these should be linked in your form for reference. This is to prevent characters from becoming warriors without having any actual form of training! You are responsible for organizing your own training sessions, but you may be placed on a patrol at Eveningstar's discretion.

  • Apprentices need to actively attend at least one Gathering. Making one post does not count-- they need to socialize with the other Clans or their Clan-mates, with a minimum of three posts.

  • Apprentices need to actively attend at least one Clan meeting. This includes showing up to their own ceremony through roleplay and, if applicable, reacting to the ceremony accordingly. For example, if a cat becomes a warrior in the meeting, the apprentice should join in with chanting the new warrior's name.

  • Apprentices are required to complete a final assessment once they have met the minimum training experiences. The final should consist of both hunting and battle training, to ensure their skills are satisfactory. Final assessments can be overseen by any warrior - mentor preferred - and Eveningstar will attend to watch and/or intervene if needed.

  • The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)

  • Characters who have not made these qualifications by the age of 24 moons will have their place in the Clan be reassessed by Eveningstar to see if they are fit for Clan life.

Warrior to Elder
  • You will need at least 250 posts with the character as a warrior.

  • If they are seventy moons or older, they will qualify to become an elder due to old age. Prior to being seventy, they will need a valid reason to retire, such as a health condition. This condition will need to be verified by the medicine cat, and Eveningstar will listen to their advice on the matter. If they believe your character is fit to remain a warrior or too unfit for Clan life, Eveningstar will act accordingly. (In most cases, this should NOT end in the death of your character.)

Anyone Else to Elder
  • Outsiders cannot join as an elder, even if they are disabled. Eveningstar and his medicine cat will determine if they are fit for Clan life and if they are incapable of benefiting the Clan in some way, their request to join will be denied.

  • Young cats who are born unfit for Clan life will be delivered to the edge of the territory, where they will be fit to find there way wherever they please while not taking up the Clan's resources.

Outsiders Joining
  • Outsiders allowed to join will start off as apprentices, regardless of age (excluding characters younger than four moons). They will be required to take on a Clan name, and need to meet the normal apprentice requirements listed above. Eveningstar will decide if their outsider name is acceptable as a Clan name.

  • If the event an outsider is actively pregnant or with an expecting mate, Eveningstar will not force them to start as apprentices. Instead, they will be allowed to join as a warrior or queen but are still expected to complete five training instances. Failure to do so may result in them being stripped of their Clan status.

  • If your character is an apprentice from another Clan, Eveningstar will require them to start from scratch with their training. This is to make sure they know how to properly act within his Clan.

  • Warriors joining from other Clans will not be required to start completely over. However, they must complete one battle training session, one hunting session, and one tree climbing session. These training sessions will be overseen either by Eveningstar or a warrior of his choosing.
