Skly heard the bang, but didn't say anything, just whimpered and laid shaking in her nest.

Isadora woke up at the bullet and then heard Jay. She stood up and walked toward Jay. "Watcha doin'?" the Beta asked her.

Everest heard a loud bang from outside of camp. Probably just humans making racket. That ought to get people’s attention. She took a small peek out of their camp, but she saw nothing there. Or at least it was too far away to see.
”Isadora!” she called. “There’s a noise out of camp. It sounded.. close. Should we go check it out?”
Everest was worried something had happened to their alpha. He did go out a bit after the noise. She grabbed her knife with her jaws, prepared. Seeing she was following Jay, who was going out, she followed too. The gray wolf looked side to side with her amber gaze cautiously, ears twitching to listen for sounds. They came to a stop.
”Why are we-“ her words were cut off as she saw for herself.
She let out a gasp.
“ALPHA SKY!” she went to sit by him.
He had been shot in his head, blood gushing.
